Olson was called up from Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Sounds being eliminated from the Pacific Coast League playoffs, Olson will finally get the opportunity to make his major league debut. The Athletics are making an effort to look at their younger players during this last month of the season, so there's a decent chance that Olson could find a decent amount of playing time down the stretch. The 22-year-old doesn't hit for a very high average, but he could provide cheap power for fantasy owners if his power he displayed in the minors (17 home runs and 34 doubles at Triple-A this season) translate to the big leagues.

Olson, 22, is batting .375 with one home run and four RBI over his last 10 games for Triple-A Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Mercifully, Olson has finally started hitting. To show how bad his start to the season was, he is only now hitting .221 after 43 games. His power numbers have also been curiously sapped over the last season or so. He clubbed 37 home runs in 2014 but hit just 17 last season, and has only four thus far in 2016.

Olson, 21, is hitting .239/.413/.511 with six home runs and 17 RBI through 28 games for Double-A Midland.
Olson continues to both strike out and draw walks at a high rate. He has tallied just as many walks (28) as strikeouts. This is likely Olson's future projection: low average, high OBP with power potential.
