Matt Lindstrom (arm) is expected to be placed on the disabled list. The Rockies have said only to this point that Lindstrom has "arm soreness," and evidently it's enough to require a DL stint. It's unclear at this point how long he'll be out. Lindstrom will take a 2.89 ERA and 1.26 WHIP to the DL.

Matt Lindstrom is unavailable for Tuesday's game against the Reds due to "arm soreness." The exact nature of the injury isn't known, but Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports that he is dealing with soreness beneath his arm. Huston Street (lat muscle) is also unavailable Tuesday while Matt Belisle has pitched in three straight games, so rookie Rex Brothers could get the call in a potential save situation.

Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports that the Twins "continue to monitor the Rockies' bullpen pieces." With the emergence of Rex Brothers, the Rockies are making both Rafael Betancourt​ and Matt Lindstrom expendable. We're not sure the Twins should be buyers, but with both relievers also under contract for next season and having options for 2013, it wouldn't be just a short-term acquisition.
