Infielder Franklin Barreto will be sent back down to Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move. The A's will be glad to have their defensive stud back and fantasy owners will be glad to have his bat back, as Chapman had posted a .368/.489/.553 slash line through 47 plate appearances in June prior to the injury.

Chapman is currently rehabbing after being placed on the 10-day disabled list last Thursday with a hand injury that he has been battling with since spring training.
