Marcus Stroman Will Miss Thursday's Start rotoballer.com Thu 7/4/19 6:06 PM

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (pectoral) won't make his scheduled start on Thursday versus the Boston Red Sox. The Jays want to be cautious with possibly their biggest trade piece, so they may shut him down until after the All-Star break. Derek Law will serve as the opener, while Thomas Pannone will pitch a bulk of the innings out of the bullpen.

Marcus Stroman Could Miss Start on Thursday rotoballer.com Wed 7/3/19 5:27 PM

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (chest) is getting treatment on his chest and is in danger of missing Thursday's start against the Boston Red Sox. The team will wait and see how Stroman responds to the treatment before making a final decision. Stroman is also a trade candidate, so the team may elect to keep Stroman off the mound and make sure he's healthy. Thomas Pannone would likely draw the start on Thursday if Stroman is unable to pitch.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman said that he'd be interested in playing for a big-market team, although he didn't specifically say he wanted to play for the Yankees. Stroman is almost certainly expected to be traded before the deadline on July 31, and the Yankees are a potential landing spot within the American League East. "Im built for this," said Stroman, who grew up on Long Island and went to Patchogue-Medford High School. "Anybody can say whatever, but Im built for the br[...]

Marcus Stroman Tosses Another Quality Start Despite Loss rotoballer.com Wed 6/19/19 9:11 AM

Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman allowed three runs on four hits through seven innings of work during a 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Stroman walked one batter while striking out three. He was victimized by the long ball during the contest, as all three runs came courtesy of a homer. On the surface, the 28-year-old has an unflattering 4-9 record, but he has only allowed more than three earned runs in a start three times this season. He owns a 3.23 ERA, 1.27 [...]

Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman allowed two runs (one earned) in six innings of work during a 12-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday. He struck out five batters without issuing a walk. Stroman has been far better than his 4-8 record indicates, as he has allowed three earned runs or less in 12 of his 15 starts. Yankees Eyeing Marcus Stroman As A Trade Candidate rotoballer.com Sun 6/9/19 1:11 PM

The New York Yankees have expressed interest in Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman as a potential acquisition to their rotation. New York has dealt with a plethora of injuries with their staff and with the Jays in sell mode, it seems like a fit. They may not want to deal their ace within the division, but we saw them deal J.A. Happ to the pinstripes at last year's trade deadline, so nothing can be ruled out. Stroman has had a strong season, posting a 3.31 ERA and 1.32 [...]

The Cut List (Week 10) - Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 6/2/19 7:00 AM

Welcome to June, and to something a little different this week, although it may end up a one-week affair. Today we suggest a couple cuts each at varying league sizes: 10, 12, and 14-15 teams. Recommendations in one league size obviously apply to smaller leagues. You can also feel free to drop a shallower suggestion in a deeper league. Generally, however, the dividing line is there for a reason.Stats are through Friday, May 31. The usual weekly notes do not apply, of course. Also, the [...]
