Marcus Semien Will Lead Off on Thursday rotoballer.com Thu 8/30/18 3:42 PM
Oakland Athletics shortstop Marcus Semien will lead off and play shortstop versus lefty Wade LeBlanc on Thursday. Semien has struggled over the last week, but is notoriously better against left-handed pitching. LeBlanc has pitched fairly solid this season, but is not an overpowering pitcher. Semien is worth a look in DFS contests while he's leading off against left-handed pitching.

Hello everyone, and welcome to my weekly Top-30 Fantasy Rankings for Impact Rookies! In this series, I will be going over the top prospects in baseball and discussing which ones figure to have an impact for the rest of this fantasy baseball season.
It just doesn't seem right. The rain comes in and ends Michael Kopech's start early. He was absolutely electric during his first two innings of work, even if not particularly pitch efficient. The movement on his fastball was insane and the slider l[...]
Marcus Semien (SS, OAK) - Week 21 Waiver Wire Pickups rotoballer.com Sun 8/19/18 5:36 AM
BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 49% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Oakland Athletics shortstop Marcus Semien has a modest overall batting line sof .262/.321/.386, but he has notched double digits in home runs (10) and stolen bases (13) for the fourth consecutive season and is pacing toward 90 runs scored. He has done this while running the best strikeout rate of his career to boot.
The whiffs have gotten even more infrequent since the All-Star break (17.2%), during which time Semien has[...]
Hitter Streamers (Week 21) - Head-to-Head Leagues rotoballer.com Sat 8/18/18 6:45 AM
Welcome back to my hitting streamers column for Week 21, taking a look at hitters to add or stream off the waiver wire for this week's scheduled games.
To keep things simple, I pick from players who are 50% owned or less and who play at least seven games in the week. If someone jumps off the page at me as a less than seven game player, I may make an exception, but otherwise the advantage in number of games dictates my choices.
Streaming can be a valuable tool, by allowing you to feast on[...]
Power Risers/Fallers for Week 20: Buy or Sell? rotoballer.com Thu 8/16/18 3:30 AM
Welcome to Week 20 of the 2018 MLB season and a new week of our investigation into the steepest power trenders in baseball, whether those trends are positive or negative.
As the season has blown by into August and the MLB trade deadline has passed, the window of opportunity to snag a surging slugger or to rid yourself of a down-and-out disappointment grows shorter with every plate appearance. Most Fantasy Baseball Leagues have already had their trade deadlines come and go, and the only decisi[...]
Jonthan Lucroy (C, OAK) - Week 18 Waiver Wire Pickups rotoballer.com Sat 7/28/18 1:51 PM
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 38% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Oakland Athletics catcher Jonathan Lucroy is hitting .243 on the season with two home runs, 32 RBI and 26 runs scored. Lucroy has looked strong recently with hits in four of his last six, including a home run and seven RBI. He hasn't been the same catcher offensively since his trade from the Brewers two seasons ago, however, he finds himself in a great position for offensive production.
Lucroy will see regular playi[...]

This article will be geared specifically toward points leagues. Every points league is different, so keep that in mind. Walks and extra base hits are more valuable, whereas AVG and ERA are not important, so consider that as well.
Some players will be suggested as streamers (while they are hot), or as rest-of-season adds ([...]

With the second half of baseball now in full swing, teams are doing their best to make a late season playoff push. As the trade deadline approaches, teams around the league will drastically change as they do their best to try and win the World Series.
As the MLB landscape changes, so will Fantasy Baseball. With multiple injuries, trades and overall depth chart transactions, different players will become viable in fantasy leagues. One of the hardest positions to manage is catcher. With only li[...]
