Smith is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Astros, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mariners will go with an outfield consisting of Shed Long, Kyle Lewis and Tim Lopes in Wednesday's series finale. While Smith is hitting just .190 over his past 25 games, he's compiled a .299 OBP and 11 steals during that stretch.

Smith is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Smith stole his 45th base of the season in Saturday's game, but he also went 0-for-6, so manager Scott Servais decided to hold him out Sunday and get a right-handed hitter -- Ben Bishop -- in the lineup against Orioles southpaw John Means.

Smith is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Smith sat Wednesday against a righty and will take a seat again Friday, this time against a lefty opener in Richard Bleier (right-hander Aaron Brooks is slated to follow as the Orioles' primary pitcher). While Smith has been a plus fantasy contributor with his 44 stolen bases, he's been pretty much a replacement-level player in real life. Dylan Moore is starting again in center.

Smith is not starting Wednesday against Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has gone just 4-for-35 over his last 11 contests, though he does at least have five steals over that stretch. Dylan Moore will be the center fielder Wednesday.

Smith went 2-for-4 with two run-scoring singles and a walk in a win over the White Sox on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith made noise out of the bottom of the order, posting his first multi-RBI effort since Aug. 21. The speedy outfielder has a modest but welcome three-game hitting streak, a proverbial oasis in the desert during a month of September when Smith is hitting just .162 (6-for-37) and only has Sunday's pair of RBI on his ledger.

Smith went 1-for-3 with a pair of stolen bases and a run scored in Friday's 9-7 loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Smith did what he does best, recording his steals after he singled in the second and reached on a fielder's choice in the fourth. Smith also came around to score on Shed Long's two-run single in the fourth. The outfielder is up to 43 steals in 51 tries this season, continuing to lead the majors in that category. However, the single was his first hit in eight games, snapping an 0-for-22 skid.

Smith is not in the lineup Thursday against the Reds, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith is just 2-for-27 (.074) with two steals and a 34.4 percent strikeout rate in eight games this month. As such, he'll head to the bench for Thursday's series finale as Bradon Bishop gets a start in center field in his place.

Smith will sit Sunday against Houston, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has gone 0-for-17 with nine strikeouts over his last five games. Keon Broxton will get the start in right field in his absence.

Smith went 0-for-4 with a walk, a run and a stolen base in a loss to the Astros on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The steal was Smith's 40th of the season, tying the career high he just established in 2018 with the Rays. That milestone aside, Smith is discouragingly back to struggling at the plate after a solid August that he finished with a three-game flourish. Factoring in Friday's hitless effort, the speedster is just 2-for-18 over the first five games of September and has already struck out six times during that stretch.

Smith is not in the lineup Thursday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has started the past six games and gone 9-for-24 (.375) with a trio of stolen bases, but he'll head to the bench for Thursday's series opener in Houston with left-hander Wade Miley starting for the Astros. Jake Fraley is starting in right field in his stead, while Braden Bishop is starting in center.
