Williams will start in center field and bat eighth Sunday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Though he'll crack the starting nine in the series finale, Williams looks like he'll be relegated to a short-side platoon role in center field while Odubel Herrera (ankle) is on the shelf. The lefty-hitting Travis Jankowski is getting Sunday off with a southpaw (Braxton Garrett) on the bump for MIami.

Williams is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Williams picked up his fourth start in five games Tuesday, but his window for everyday playing time appears to have closed now that Jean Segura has returned from the injured list. With Segura locked in as the Phillies' regular second baseman, the versatile Williams will now move into a utility role.

Williams is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
On the bench versus a right-handed starting pitcher (Erick Fedde) for the second day in a row, Williams looks like he won't be in line for an everyday role at the keystone while Jean Segura (groin) is on the shelf. Instead, the lefty-hitting Brad Miller looks poised to draw most of the starts at the position versus right-handed pitching, leaving the righty-hitting Williams to fill a short-side platoon role.

Williams will start at second base and lead off Sunday against the Giants, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the Phillies are without second baseman (Jean Segura) and everyday shortstop (Didi Gregorius) due to injuries, Williams looks like he could be in store for regular duties in the middle infield. The right-handed-hitting Williams will pick up his fifth straight start Sunday, though it bears noting that four of those have come against left-handed pitchers. Even so, Williams has made the most of his opportunity over the past four games, going 6-for-16 with three doubles.

Williams went 2-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Williams slashed an impressive .352/.439/.465 across 82 plate appearances at Triple-A before going off to help Team USA qualify for the Olympics last week, but he couldn't have asked for a better start to his big-league career after delivering a walkoff hit against reliever Will Smith. The small sample size is extremely small, but Williams is enjoying a stellar big -league debut thus far.

Williams was promoted to the Phillies from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams slashed an impressive .352/.439/.465 across 82 plate appearances at Triple-A before going off to help Team USA qualify for the Olympics last week. He'll now get his first call-up to the big leagues, and he could appear at multiple positions for Philadelphia.

The Phillies added Williams to their 60-man roster pool Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old utility man will report to the Phillies' alternate training site in Lehigh Valley after spending the 2019 season at Double-A Reading, where he slashed .238/.319/.395 over 504 plate appearances. Given his limited success in the upper levels of the minors along with the fact that he doesn't possess a spot on the 40-man roster, Williams is unlikely to receive a promotion to the big club in September.
