Since being called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Gonzalez has seemingly recaptured the near-everyday role he held prior to his demotion to the minors May 16. With LaMonte Wade (knee) back on the injured list, Gonzalez will pick up his third consecutive start in right field after going 1-for-8 with a double and a walk between the first two games of the series.

The 26-year-old was sent down Monday, but he'll rejoin the major-league roster after LaMonte Wade (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday. Gonzalez has hit .349 with two homers, three doubles, 15 RBI, 11 runs and three stolen bases over 21 major-league games this year, so he should be in the mix for playing time in the outfield while Wade is sidelined.

Gonzalez is slashing .303/.333/.424 with a home run, eight RBI and five runs scored through 39 plate appearances, but it remains to be seen if he's done enough to maintain his place on the big-league roster once the Giants are closer to full health.
