Campusano went 4-for-5 with a three-run home run, an additional RBI and two additional runs scored in Saturday's 14-3 victory over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Campusano slugged his first homer since coming off the 60-day IL this week, plating Manny Machado and Jake Cronenworth in the eighth by taking Jose Cisnero yard for his second long ball of the campaign. The outing doubled his season runs scored total (6), while his four RBI set a single-game career high. The four-hit day was much needed for Campusano after he started out 1-for-10 (.100) over his first three games since being activated.

San Diego activated Campusano (thumb) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Finally recovered from May 12 surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb, Campusano is back to help out at catcher and DH in San Diego. He posted an encouraging .920 OPS with one homer and three doubles in eight rehab games between the Arizona Complex League and Triple-A El Paso.

Campusano (thumb) moved his rehab assignment to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday and went 3-for-6 with a double and two runs in his first two games with the affiliate.
EDGE Analysis
Campusano, who is working his way back from left thumb surgery, appeared in three games in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League earlier this month before shifting his rehab assignment to Triple-A. He'll likely remain with El Paso for at least a few more games to get his timing back at the plate following a two-month-plus-long layoff from action, but once activated, Campusano could get a look with the Padres as the top understudy to Gary Sanchez. The Padres' current No. 2 catcher, Austin Nola, owns a .143/.260/.190 slash line (37 wRC+) over 150 plate appearances this season and still has two minor-league options remaining.

Campusano (thumb) will catch a bullpen session Saturday and has been taking full swings at the plate, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Campusano isn't expected back until mid-July, but he seems to be recovering nicely from the thumb surgery he underwent May 12. The 24-year-old backstop was slashing .238/.227/.429 through 22 plate appearances prior to injury and figures to head out on a rehab assignment before returning to the active roster.

San Diego transferred Campusano (thumb) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Campusano underwent surgery May 12 to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb and had already been ruled out through at least mid-July. Alfonso Rivas will take over the vacated 40-man roster spot.

Campusano underwent ligament surgery on his left thumb Friday and he'll be out at least two months, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Campusano will likely now be held out until after the All-Star break. The backstop appeared to be making progress after catching for pitchers last weekend, but ultimately the Padres felt the best course was to have him undergo surgery now. With Campusano out, Austin Nola and Brett Sullivan will continue to share catching duties.

Campusano began catching pitches Friday for the first time since he went on the injured list, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's a significant step forward for Campusano, who has been on the shelf since mid-April because of a left thumb sprain. He was cleared to start swinging a bat earlier this week and seems to be tracking toward a return to the Padres sometime in mid-May. Austin Nola and Brett Sullivan are currently serving as the catching tandem for San Diego.

Campusano's injured left thumb is still in a soft cast, and it isn't known when the backstop will resume playing catch, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Campusano landed on the 10-day injured list April 17 as a result of spraining his thumb while catching a bullpen session. Though X-rays came back negative, the Padres are being cautious and waiting until the thumb is close to 100 percent before allowing Campusano to resume catching, according to manager Bob Melvin. Campusano is eligible to come off the IL on April 27, but it appears unlikely that he'll be ready to return by then.

Campusano was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a left thumb sprain.
EDGE Analysis
Campusano jammed his thumb while catching a bullpen session, and the swelling hasn't reduced enough to play at this point. Brett Sullivan will remain the backup catcher while Brandon Dixon is recalled from El Paso to take Campusano's place on the roster.
