Cain was diagnosed with right hamstring discomfort after he left Monday's game against the Tigers, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cain was removed from Monday's contest after he made a running catch and awkward throw across his body in the top of the seventh inning. The 35-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now, but Jackie Bradley could see more time in the outfield if Cain misses additional time.

Cain went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Friday's loss against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Cain bounced back from an 0-for-5 performance Wednesday and has now hit safely in three of his last four games, posting two multi-hit performances in that span. The veteran outfielder is hitting just .221 this season, but that can be attributed to a slow start in April -- he's hitting .254 with two extra-base hits, four RBI and nine runs scored during the current month.

Cain went 3-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 10-9 win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Cain knocked three singles Sunday, including a two-run base hit in the seventh inning to extend the Brewers' lead to 10-7. It was just his second multi-hit game of the season and first since April 7. The veteran outfielder is hitting .222 with 14 runs scored through 20 games.

Cain is not in the lineup Saturday against Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Cain has appeared in 11 games since returning from a strained quadriceps in early May. He's walked a fair amount over that stretch and has a pair of steals, but his .219/.375/.344 line in those games isn't particularly good. Jackie Bradley will be the center fielder in his absence.

Cain is not in the lineup Sunday at Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Cain is 4-for-16 with a homer, five walks, two RBI and five runs in six games since returning from the injured list, and he'll receive the day off in Sunday's series finale. Billy McKinney, Jackie Bradley and Tyrone Taylor will start from left to right in the outfield for Milwaukee.

Cain went 1-for-2 with three walks, two runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder has looked great while starting two of three games since returning from a quad injury, reaching base six times in 11 trips to the plate. Cain's steal Wednesday was his second in 10 contests on the season, and the Brewers will need him to keep producing from the top of the order as they try to compensate for the absence of Christian Yelich (back).

Cain went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored Monday night against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Cain didn't waste any time in his return from a quad injury, leaving the yard in his first at-bat since April 13. He did strike out with the bases loaded in the ninth inning to end the game, however, as Milwaukee dropped the first game of the series 4-3. The 35-year-old is now 5-for-30 with three homers and five RBI through eight games in 2021.
