O'Hoppe was traded from the Phillies to the Angels on Tuesday in exchange for Brandon Marsh, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
O'Hoppe is one of the better catching prospects in the upper levels of the minors, and it's a slight boost for his fantasy value to be in a different organization than J.T. Realmuto. The 22-year-old backstop hit .269/.385/.492 with 15 home runs and 39:52 BB:K in 74 games at Double-A.

O'Hoppe was sent to minor-league camp Monday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
O'Hoppe emerged as the Phillies' top catching prospect last season and should eventually push for a roster spot. He's not yet on the 40-man roster, however, a group which contains four other catchers, so it was never likely that he'd break camp in the majors.

O'Hoppe was invited to major-league camp by the Phillies on Saturday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
O'Hoppe saw his stock rise last season after he hit .270/.331/.458 across the three highest levels of the minors. He's the Phillies' top catching prospect, though the starting role behind the plate is unlikely to open up anytime soon with perennial All-Star J.T. Realmuto under contract through 2025. O'Hoppe is unlikely to push for the Opening Day backup job, as just six of his games last season came at the Triple-A level, but a big-league debut later in the year is a possibility.

The Phillies promoted O'Hoppe from Double-A Reading to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
O'Hoppe will get his second promotion of the campaign after he began the year at High-A Jersey Shore before joining Reading on Aug. 25. Over his month-long stay at Double-A, the 21-year-old catcher hit .296 with three home runs.
