Henderson is a "leading contender" to make starts for the Brewers in April following the injury to Tobias Myers (oblique), Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson was cut from major-league camp last week, but he will be back to make a start Monday against the Padres and it appears he might be ahead of Tyler Alexander in the rotation pecking order. The 23-year-old Henderson has spun 5.2 scoreless frames with an 8:1 K:BB during Cactus League play. Myers could be back before the end of April and Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) might be ready around then, too, so Henderson's stay in the rotation -- if he is indeed part of it -- could be brief.

The Brewers optioned Henderson to Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson has been excellent this spring, boasting an 8:1 K:BB over 5.2 scoreless innings. However, there's not room for him on the major-league roster at this point, so he'll join the Nashville rotation for now. Henderson has a chance to make some starts for the Brewers later on this season.

Henderson is being held back in extended spring training in an effort to manage his workload this season, Sam Dykstra of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson was limited to 13.2 innings in the lower minors late last season after undergoing an elbow surgery in spring training, so he wasn't going to be able to pitch a full season this year anyway. He is currently pitching in extended spring training and will reportedly join a rotation at Single-A or High-A later this spring.

Henderson (elbow) was activated Tuesday from High-A Wisconsin's 60-day injured list and was assigned to Single-A Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson, a 2021 first-round pick, didn't make his professional debut until earlier this month after he required an elbow procedure this spring. He made two appearances in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League before ultimately settling in the Carolina League. He tossed two scoreless innings for Carolina on Tuesday, striking out three while allowing two hits and no walks.

Henderson underwent elbow surgery on Thursday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson was a fourth-round pick in the 2021 MLB Draft, but he has yet to pitch at any professional level. He is not undergoing Tommy John surgery, and he is expected to be able to pitch in minor-league action later in the season.
