Forsythe moved to first base when Ronald Guzman left Saturday's game with a hamstring injury.
EDGE Analysis
Forsythe started the game at third base, spelling Asdrubel Cabrera, but moved across the diamond after Guzman's injury. Forsythe is a utility infielder more familiar with the other three infield spots, so it's uncertain if the Rangers would have him serve as a full-time first baseman if Guzman's injury lingers. If Guzman needs a stint on the injured list, Texas could call up Matt Davidson, who is playing first base at Triple-A Nashville.

Forsythe started at shortstop and went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in Thursday's 11-4 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Forsythe spelled Elvis Andrus, who served as the designated hitter for the game. He made the Rangers' roster as a utility infielder, winning the last position spot over Matt Davidson. This was his second start of the season with the first one coming at first base.

The Rangers selected Forsythe's contract Thursday and will include him on the Opening Day roster.
EDGE Analysis
Forsythe was one of three non-roster invitees to break camp with the Rangers, joining reliever Jeanmar Gomez and outfielder Hunter Pence. The 32-year-old is projected to serve as a utility infielder for Texas this season.

Forsythe was told he'd made the Rangers' Opening Day roster Friday, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Forsythe hasn't been officially added to the 40-man roster yet, but a transaction is presumably coming soon. The veteran will fill a bench role in the infield this season.

Forsythe started at shortstop and went 1-for-3 with a home run in Saturday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Forsythe, who was a late addition to the Rangers' camp, has three extra-base hits in his last four games. He's vying to be the backup infielder. His main competition is Matt Davidson, who struck out in two at-bats Saturday and is without a hit in his last 17 at-bats, during which he's struck out 10 times. Forsythe has played mostly second base and third base during his career, but has exposure to shortstop (18 games ) and first base (20).

Forsythe signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers with an invitation to spring training Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran second baseman posted above-average batting lines with the Rays in 2015 and 2016 but has seen his production tail off as he hit the wrong side of 30. He hit just .232/.313/.291 with two homers for the Dodgers and Twins last season. The Rangers' roster isn't a particularly tough one to break into, but Forsythe will have to look like he can bounce back in camp, as the team won't have much interest in an underperforming veteran in a rebuilding season.

Forsythe is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Forsythe will take a seat after going 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored during Thursday's victory over Detroit. In his place, Gregorio Petit will man the keystone and bat ninth.

Forsythe (knee) started at third base and went 0-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Forsythe had missed the Twins' last three games with left knee inflammation, but the fact that the team didn't immediately shut him down for the season suggests the issue was only a minor concern. With Miguel Sano (knee) uncertain to return over the Twins' final five contests, Forsythe should see most of his remaining opportunities at the hot corner with the hot-hitting Ehire Adrianza having seemingly established himself as the preferred option at second base.

Forsythe (knee) is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Forsythe missed the entirety of the Twins' weekend series in Oakland due to left knee inflammation. That time off plus Monday's off day was enough rest for him to return to the lineup. He'll bat seventh and play second base.

Forsythe (knee) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Forsythe continues to battle the left knee issue and will miss his third straight game. Gregorio Petit will start at second base and bat ninth, as Forsythe will now have Monday's scheduled off day to recover, as well.
