Lynn (4-3) took the loss Friday, allowing three runs on six hits -- including three solo home runs -- and a walk over seven innings while striking out eight as the Rangers fell 3-0 to the Astros.

EDGE Analysis

The right-hander attacked the zone, throwing 70 of 118 pitches for strikes, but got a little too much of the plate at times and couldn't afford any mistakes with Justin Verlander locked in for Houston. Lynn will take a 5.48 ERA and 44:17 K:BB through 47.2 innings into his next start Thursday in Kansas City.

Lynn (4-2) allowed five runs on eight hits and five walks while striking out three over six innings in a win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

EDGE Analysis

This was not a strong performance from the right-hander, but the Rangers' offense powered him to another win, his fourth in his last five turns. Lynn is doing a good job keeping the ball in the yard and his walk rate is down overall -- the ERA estimators suggest he deserves quite a bit better. That said, you need not look further back than April 23 for an example of the type of downside Lynn brings to the table (eight runs over 3.1 innings). Lynn gets the Astros in Houston next week.

Lynn (3-2) allowed one run on three walks and five hits in seven innings Sunday, earning the win over Seattle. He struck out nine batters.

EDGE Analysis

Lynn has been all-or-nothing so far in 2019. Sunday was his second outing this season where he allowed one run and struck out nine batters, but he's allowed seven or more runs twice as well. His 33:11 K:BB is solid despite an ugly 5.45 ERA. He'll look to ride this momentum against the Blue Jays next Sunday.

Lynn (2-2) took the loss Tuesday, getting hammered for eight runs on nine hits and two walks over 3.1 innings while striking out three as the Rangers fell 11-5 in Oakland.

EDGE Analysis

The A's posted single runs off the right-hander in the first two frames, including a solo shot by Matt Chapman, before the floodgates opened in the fourth. Lynn had lasted at least five innings in each of his first four starts, but this was the second time he's been tagged for at least seven runs, leading to a rough 6.51 ERA. He'll look for a better result Sunday in Seattle.

Lynn (2-1) gave up two runs on seven hits with three walks while striking out two through 5.2 innings in a win over the Angels on Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

Lynn only forced six swinging-strikes, but he was effective enough to hold the Angels to two runs Wednesday. After giving up seven runs in his first start, the 31-year-old has delivered three solid performances. The right-hander has a 2-1 record and a 4.44 ERA through four starts this season. Lynn will make his next start Tuesday in Oakland.

Lynn (1-1) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

EDGE Analysis

Lynn kept his mates in the game as Arizona starter Robbie Ray no-hit the Rangers through five innings. The bats eventually came alive, putting up runs in each of the final four innings to make a winner of Lynn, who laid claim to the second win by a Rangers' starter. Lynn's next projected start is Monday at home against the Angels.

Lynn (0-1) took the loss Friday as the Rangers fell 3-1 to the Angels, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out five.

EDGE Analysis

The right-hander bounced back in impressive fashion from a rough Rangers debut, throwing 65 of 105 pitches for strikes in his first quality start of the season. The club has a couple off days coming up, but with Edinson Volquez (elbow) now on the IL, it's not yet clear whether Lynn will stay on schedule and pitch Wednesday in Arizona, or get some extra rest before taking the mound Friday at home against the A's.

Lynn allowed seven runs on 10 hits and struck out five over 5.2 innings Sunday against the Cubs. He didn't factor into the decision.

EDGE Analysis

Lynn never managed to settle in during his first outing of 2019, surrendering at least one run in the second, third, fourth and sixth innings. Despite this, the Rangers would come away with a win in the bottom of the ninth because of a wild pitch by Pedro Strop. Lynn's Texas debut didn't go as planned, so he'll hope for a more favorable outcome in his next start Friday against the Angels.

Lynn allowed two runs on two hits and two walks while strking out four over five innings Sunday against the Royals.

EDGE Analysis

Lynn's final spring tuneup gives him a nice bounce into the regular season. After giving up a first-inning run, he set down 13 of the next 14 batters. "When you get five up-downs and your pitch count up to the seventies going into the season, that's good," the right-hander told T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com. "For the most part, everything felt good. When I look back at it, just one bad pitch right into a guy's bat path on a bad breaking ball. But other than that, it was a good day, besides two walks in the first inning." Lynn had a 4.86 ERA over 16.2 innings and held opponents to a .169 average. Adding in the work he did in a Triple-A game, Lynn threw 21.2 innings this spring, much more than the seven spring innings he had for the Twins last year after signing March 15. That may have been a factor to his slow start. He'll pitch the third game of the season for the Rangers, next Sunday against the Cubs.

Lynn allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out nine over five-plus innings Tuesday against the Brewers.

EDGE Analysis

Lynn hurled five scoreless frames before tiring, becoming the first Ranger starter to pitch into the sixth inning this spring. He had thrown nine consecutive scoreless innings before running into trouble. If it were the regular season, manager Chris Woodward would probably let Lynn pitch out of his jam, but the right-hander was at his pitch limit. He's struck out 18 batters in 11.2 Cactus League innings.
