His next start is scheduled for Friday against Detroit.

Lynn (5-1) was credited with the win Monday after allowing one run on three hits and three walks while striking out four over seven innings against the Cardinals.

Lynn was locked in a pitchers' duel with St. Louis lefty Kwang Hyun Kim before earning a victory over the team that drafted him in the first round in 2008. He carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning, when the Cards managed to push a run across, but Chicago's offense eventually showed up, giving Lynn a win in his fourth straight decision. Lynn's next turn in the rotation comes Saturday at home against the Orioles.

In his most recent outing May 13 against this same Twins squad, Lynn came away with his third win in as many starts, but not before taking a comebacker off his right hand during the game. The White Sox sent him in for precautionary X-rays after the outing that revealed no structural damage, so the 34-year-old looks like he'll be good to go for his upcoming turn through the rotation without any limitations. Lynn has been exceptional throughout his first season in Chicago, going 4-1 while posting a 1.30 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 44:11 K:BB across 34.2 innings.

Lynn underwent X-rays on his right hand/forearm after Thursday's win over the Twins that came back negative, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Lynn was hit by a comebacker in the top of the fourth inning Thursday, but he was able to remain in the game. Lynn allowed one unearned run on two hits and three walks while striking out nine in five innings to earn the win over Minnesota. It's unlikely that Lynn will be forced to miss time since he was able to remain in the game and had a clean X-ray, but his status could be worth monitoring in the coming days. Assuming he's able to make his next start, Lynn tentatively lines up to face Minnesota on the road Tuesday.
