Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's loss to the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Schwarber was one of two Cubs to find success against Tyler Mahle, with the other being Anthony Rizzo, who also homered in the first inning before Mahle went into shutdown mode. With three homers in his last five games, Schwarber is now up to seven for the season and his slash line sits at .231/.333/.471 -- very close to his career line.

Schwarber went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Schwarber took Joe Jimenez yard for a solo home run in the sixth inning to record his sixth home run of the season. He has gone deep three times in his past nine starts, but has done little else in that span as he's gone just 7-for-34. Overall, Schwarber is hitting .220/.328/.440 with 15 runs and 13 RBI across 116 plate appearances this season.

Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 2-1 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The Cubs were getting shut out until the sixth inning, when Schwarber hit a two-run shot off Dylan Cease, the slugger's fifth home run of the season. Schwarber should continue to hit in the middle of Chicago's lineup and supply good power numbers.

Schwarber went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer run and three strikeouts in a win over the Cardinals on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Schwarber whiffed thrice for the third time this season, but he made his one hit count, launching a two-run shot to right field in the fifth inning. The veteran is batting .229 on the campaign, though he has hit four long balls and driven in 10 runs.

Schwarber is out of the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader with the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Though Schwarber will be withheld from the starting nine for the afternoon contest, expect him to check back into the lineup for the nightcap. While Schwarber rests up, Kris Bryant will cover left field in his stead. Through the Cubs' first 12 games of August, Schwarber is slashing .263/.378/.474 with two home runs, seven runs and five RBI.

Schwarber went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Schwarber didn't go deep, but he still managed to be productive Sunday. The slugging outfielder has a .780 OPS, 11 runs scored, eight RBI and three home runs through 19 games.

Schwarber went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Schwarber took Milwaukee starter Brett Anderson deep in the second inning for his third home run of the season. The slugger hasn't provided a ton of power in the early going, but it was nice to see him go deep against a lefty. Last season, Schwarber had a .756 OPS and six home runs against lefties versus a .900 OPS and 32 long balls against righties.

Schwarber (knee) was added to the Cubs' lineup for Thursday's game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
After Kris Bryant (finger) was scratched from Thursday's lineup for the season opener against Milwaukee, Schwarber was added to the five hole as the left fielder. The Cubs had been bringing Schwarber along slowly after he was hit by a pitch on the right knee Tuesday, but he was healthy enough to pinch hit Wednesday.

Schwarber (knee) is not in Thursday's lineup against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Schwarber missed Wednesday's game against Cleveland with a right knee contusion and apparently still isn't 100 percent. Kris Bryant is covering left field in his stead Thursday, with David Bote picking up another start at the hot corner as a result.

Schwarber was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against Cleveland with a right knee contusion.
EDGE Analysis
Schwarber was hit by a pitch in Tuesday's contest, and the injury will keep him out of the starting nine for Game 2 of the Cubs' series against Cleveland. Manager David Ross said that he could be available as a pinch hitter Wednesday but that he'd try to stay away from using him. Kris Bryant will shift to left field with David Bote entering the lineup as the third baseman.
