Kyle Schwarber Suffering From Back Stiffness rotoballer.com Tue 9/11/18 12:15 AM

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber (back) has been bothered by back stiffness, which is why he was out of the starting lineup on Monday. It seems to be a day-to-day situation, so Schwarber could be back in there as soon as Tuesday. The left-handed slugger is hitting .239/.356/.471 with 25 home runs, 58 RBI and four stolen bases. If he's back in there on Tuesday, get him back into all starting lineups.

Kyle Schwarber is Out on Monday rotoballer.com Mon 9/10/18 5:52 PM

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cubs are facing a left-handed starter, so that is likely why Schwarber is out of the lineup. Kris Bryant will play left field and bat second versus lefty Wade Miley. This should be a great opportunity for Bryant to do damage with the bat.

Welcome to our surprising starts series. Every week we'll be going over a few surprising starting pitcher performances around the majors to determine whether these starts were smoke and mirrors or something more. This week we saw a pair of veteran lefties put up some good starts against NL central opponents. We also saw a middling-prospect rookie strike out ten batters on Sunday. Jason Vargas is on a month-long hot streak and shut down the Chicago Cubs in Wrigley. Wade Miley has pitched to[...]

Kyle Schwarber is Out of the Lineup on Friday rotoballer.com Fri 8/31/18 1:50 PM

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. This appears to just be a normal rest day for the lefty slugger. Ian Happ will play left field and bat seventh versus righty Nick Pivetta. DFS players can avoid Happ for this contest. Happ has been in a bit of a slump lately and it's raining in Philly, so there is a chance that the game gets postponed.

The Cut List (Week 22): Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 8/26/18 4:00 AM

Welcome to Week 22 of the Cut List. This week I took a look at Marco Gonzales, Wil Myers, Brandon Belt, and Kyle Seager.   As always, these suggestions apply to standard shallow league formats. You wouldn't want to cut Wil Myers and Marco Gonzales in a deep league, would you?   Want some waiver wire advice to make up for those necessary cuts? Make sure you check out our waiver wire blog for the best pickup consultation around. Time to Move On Marco Gonzales (SP, SEA) C[...]

Kyle Schwarber is Sitting on Thursday rotoballer.com Thu 8/16/18 1:40 PM

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Ian Happ will cover left field and bat fifth, while Albert Almora Jr. bats sixth versus righty Ivan Nova. Almora has been in a slump lately, but did homer on Wednesday. Happ is probably a better bet for DFS contests, but he does not have huge upside against Nova.

Welcome to Week 20 of the 2018 MLB season and a new week of our investigation into the steepest power trenders in baseball, whether those trends are positive or negative. As the season has blown by into August and the MLB trade deadline has passed, the window of opportunity to snag a surging slugger or to rid yourself of a down-and-out disappointment grows shorter with every plate appearance. Most Fantasy Baseball Leagues have already had their trade deadlines come and go, and the only decisi[...]
