However, as someone relatively new to formal writing about fantasy baseball, Ive never been part of an organization that ran a slow mock draft.I recently took part in Rotoballers Dynasty Mock Draft, and boy was it ever SLOW. 2019 Outfielders - Early Fantasy Baseball Rankings rotoballer.com Tue 1/15/19 7:00 AM
Outfield is a unique position in the fantasy world. The best of the best reside in the outfield, with our consensus top two picks and nine of the top 25 overall players making this list. That's why it's so important to determine exactly who to target at what point in your draft, especially in leagues that require four or five OF slots.[...]
Kyle Schwarber 2019 Outlook: Think 2017 Travis Shaw rotoballer.com Mon 1/14/19 11:50 PM
Kyle Schwarber just finished his age-25 season in which he managed 26 home runs, 64 runs, 61 RBI, four steals, and a .238 batting average. On the whole, Schwarber played only 137 games due to the Cubs lineup of cycling starters. Joe Maddons penchant for rotating through his roster meant that Schwarber saw only 510 plate appearances despite raising his walk rate to 15.3% (6th best in the league among qualified leaders) and maintaining a .229 ISO (28th best). The combination of power and on-base [...]
Cubs Avoid Arbitration With Kyle Schwarber rotoballer.com Fri 1/11/19 1:04 PM
The Chicago Cubs avoided salary arbitration with outfielder Kyle Schwarber on Friday by signing him to a one-year, $3.39 million deal. Schwarber played in a career-high 137 games last season and hit .238/.356/.467 with an .823 OPS, 26 home runs, 61 RBI and 64 runs scored. Injury concerns and a high strikeout rate keep Schwarber more on the cusp as a top-50 fantasy outfielder, though, as his power is his only real calling card for fantasy owners.
