The Dodgers dealt Farmer, Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp, Alex Wood and $7 million to Cincinnati on Friday in exchange for Homer Bailey, Josiah Gray and Jeter Downs, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Farmer will provide a little extra catching depth for the Reds behind Tucker Barnhart and Curt Casali after playing in 59 big-league games over the past two years. During the 2018 campaign, Farmer went 16-for-68 (.235 average) with five extra-base hits and nine RBI. Don't expect him to get much playing time barring an injury to Barnhart.

Farmer was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.
EDGE Analysis
Farmer, 28, has zero homers and eight RBI in 71 plate appearances with the big club this year and doesn't figure to get many chances to start for this deep competitor for a postseason spot behind the solid tandem of Yasmani Grandal and Austin Barnes.

Farmer was sent back down to Triple-A Oklahoma City following Wednesday's game.
EDGE Analysis
Farmer will return to the minors after joining the big-league club this past weekend to provide some extra depth while the Dodgers continue to deal with injuries. This move likely signals the return of Chase Utley, who is set to come off the DL (thumb) prior to Friday's game against the Mets. As for Farmer, the 27-year-old will continue to receive regular at-bats with Oklahoma City.

Farmer was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times
EDGE Analysis
Farmer had a rough 30-game stint with the Dodgers earlier in the season in which he recorded a .230/.304/.279 batting line in 69 plate appearances. He has five doubles and three homers in 22 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City, but don't expect Farmer to get much run barring an injury to Dodgers catchers Yasmani Grandal or Austin Barnes.

Farmer was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The return of Justin Turner (wrist) spelled the end of Farmer's tenure on the big-league roster. Farmer made 14 starts in the six weeks Turner was out and was frequently used as a pinch hitter, totaling 14 hits in 69 plate appearances (.230 average). He figures to get another chance in a reserve role later this season.

Farmer is out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Farmer is on the bench for the fifth time in six games with the Dodgers opposing a right-hander starting pitcher in Luis Castillo. He remains stuck in the short side of a platoon with Max Muncy, but both players are expected to see their playing time dry up in the near future with Justin Turner (wrist) trending toward a return from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Farmer will start at third base and bat eighth Sunday against the Giants, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Farmer is in the lineup for the third time in four games and looks poised to receive the bulk of the playing time at the hot corner until the Dodgers get either Justin Turner (wrist) or Logan Forsythe (shoulder) back from the 10-day disabled list. The 27-year-old has earned the increased opportunities by reaching base at a .372 clip through 43 plate appearances this season, but a lack of power or speed coupled with low slotting in the batting order limit Farmer's fantasy upside.

Farmer could see more starts at third base while Logan Forsythe (shoulder) is sidelined, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Farmer is a natural catcher, but he saw time at each infield position in the minors. With both Forsythe and Justin Turner (wrist) sidelined, the Dodgers are relatively thin at third base, so Farmer may be called into action at the hot corner. He's off to a decent start at the plate, going 4-for-13 (.308), but the Dodgers may opt to give more starts to Enrique Hernandez if they want a more experienced player in the everyday lineup.

Farmer went 0-for-2 before being lifted for a pinch-hitter in Wednesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a collective effort to replace Justin Turner (wrist) at the hot corner early this season, and Farmer got a rare taste of action Wednesday. Logan Forsythe will see most starts at third, with a combination of Enrique Hernandez, Chase Utley and Austin Barnes filling in at second, so don't expect anything more than the rare start at third for 27-year-old going forward.

Farmer will get the opportunity to earn some playing time at the hot corner this spring, the Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett reports.
EDGE Analysis
Farmer will get a little work in at third base over the course of the club's spring training since the catching position is a little crowded with Yasmani Grandal and Austin Barnes clearly ahead of him on the depth chart. Don't expect to see Farmer at the hot corner once the season begins, but this will give the 27-year-old a little more time on the field over the next few weeks.
