Crick was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crick made a successful transition to the bullpen last year, recording a 2.76 ERA in 29.1 innings for Triple-A Sacramento in the Giants' system and a 3.06 ERA in 32.1 innings in his first taste of big-league action for San Francisco. He was shipped to Pittsburgh as part of the Andrew McCutchen trade in January. He has a good shot to return to the majors in a lower-leverage role at some point this season, though he isn't likely to be close to the top of the Pirates' closer depth chart any time soon.

Crick was traded to the Pirates on Monday along with another player in exchange for Andrew McCutchen, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crick appears to be the primary piece headed back to Pittsburgh in exchange for one year of McCutchen's services. The 25-year-old was shifted to the bullpen in 2017 and performed well enough in his new role to earn a promotion to the Giants in June. While he posted a respectable 3.06 ERA across 32.1 innings of relief in his first major-league stint, Crick likely benefitted from a .233 BABIP and could be in line for some regression next season, especially if he doesn't lower his problematic walk-rate (4.7 BB/9 in 32.1 major-league innings). The right-hander does, however, throw a high-90s fastball, and he has the stuff to be a high-leverage reliever down the road if he can shake his control issues. In the meantime, he should factor into the middle-to-back end of Pittsburgh's bullpen.

Crick recorded two outs -- one via the strikeout -- for his first career hold in Friday's 11-6 loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Crick entered the seventh inning with two runners on base and got the job done to preserve a one-run lead. The converted starter has done a bang up job as a middle reliever, posting a 2.92 ERA with an 8.4 K/9 through 24.2 innings. Walks (4.0 BB/9) continue to plague the 24-year-old, but his solid overall performance has all but sealed a spot in the Giants' bullpen next season.

Crick surrendered two runs while recording a pair of strikeouts in an inning Monday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Monday's outing broke up Crick's modest 7.2-inning scoreless streak. The former starter has held his own in the Giants' bullpen, posting a 2.93 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 13 appearances. However, walks (4.7 BB/9) continue to plague the 24-year-old, and he simply isn't striking out enough batters (7.6 K/9) to warrant consideration as a ratio-boosting reliever.

Crick has struck out five and given up three earned runs in 7.2 innings this season.
EDGE Analysis
Getting his first taste of the big leagues, Crick has been able to hold his own in limited exposure to major league hitters. With only one walk so far, he's been able to keep his WHIP down with a mark of 0.9. The big question will be if the 24-year-old can keep his walks down, a task that has troubled him along his path in the minors.

Crick made his major-league debut Thursday, holding the Braves to one hit (no runs) over 2.1 innings. He did not walk or strike out a batter.
EDGE Analysis
If his name wasn't on his jersey, we may not have recognized Crick based on his solid control and lack of strikeouts in his first major-league relief appearance. The former first-round pick finally made strides as a reliever at Triple-A Sacramento this season, posting a career-best 3.0 K/BB ratio accompanied by a 2.76 ERA after looking like a lost cause for the majority of his professional career. The 24-year-old should contribute strikeouts as a reliever going forward, but he will likely be used in low-leverage situations -- like Thursday's seven-run deficit -- until he strings together solid outings.

Crick was called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
While he has always had electric stuff, Crick has really struggled to throw strikes for most of his professional career. However, this year he has posted a 10.5 percent walk rate at Triple-A, which is easily a career-best mark. He has 39 strikeouts in 29.1 innings and a 2.76 ERA, and while he will likely start out in a low-leverage role, he has the stuff to eventually pitch at the back of a big-league bullpen. Derek Law was optioned to Sacramento in a fairly surprising move.

Crick is showing improved results as a reliever in the minors and could be called up to the majors if the Giants need bullpen help, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a 3.28 ERA and 11.7 K/9 in 24.2 innings with Triple-A Sacramento, Crick appears to be turning a corner in his development. While he is still walking batters at a high clip (4.0 BB/9), it is still a marked improvement over his previous gaudy walk totals. If the 24-year-old continues his success in the minors, he could salvage his career as a high-strikeout reliever.

Crick is symptom-free and has been reinstated from the disabled list after suffering a concussion earlier in April, Hank Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crick was hit with a foul ball in the dugout, a freak accident. Thankfully, his symptoms subsided quickly and he was able to get back in action after missing only a little more than a week. If he performs well upon his return, Crick will put himself in the conversation for a midseason call-up to join the Giants bullpen.

Crick is on the minor league disabled list after sustaining a concussion after a foul ball hit him in the head in the visitor's dugout Sunday, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crick was off to a strong start at Triple-A in his first minor league season as a relief pitcher. He has a real chance to make the majors with the Giants and contribute to their bullpen this year, but now it all depends on how long this concussion will keep him out. Expect him to miss at least one start, with more possible if symptoms don't subside quickly.
