Brandon Lowe, Kevin Kiermaier Not in Lineup Saturday rotoballer.com Sat 8/1/20 5:33 PM
Tampa Bay Rays utility Brandon Lowe and outfielder Kevin Kiermaier are both being given rest for Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. Both Lowe and Kiermaier are out of the lineup because left-hander Wade LeBlanc is on the mound for the Orioles. Tampa Bay has sat both players for two of the last three games against lefties, so there seems to be a pattern here. Joey Wendle will start in place of Lowe while Manuel Margot mans center field and bats eighth. Ji-Man Choi is also not ...

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier will get a day of rest on Thursday versus the Atlanta Braves. Kiermaier is off to a sluggish start with a .190 batting average, but he has chipped in with four RBI and a stolen base. Mike Brosseau will replace Kiermaier in the lineup and bat sixth versus Max Fried. Kiermaier should be expected to return to the lineup on Friday, but should only be an option in deeper mixed leagues until he snaps out of his hitting funk.
Kevin Kiermaier 2020 Outlook: Power-Speed Combo Later in Drafts rotoballer.com Tue 1/21/20 10:02 PM
Kevin Kiermaier has not topped 500 plate appearances since 2015, although his 480 last year was his personal high in that span. Despite the injuries, he has stolen 16+ bases in four of the previous five seasons. His 29.4 MPH average sprint speed ranked 23rd in all of baseball last year. So you know the wheels still work, but you can add in that he is good for some power too. Hes hit 14-15 HRs in the last two seasons that he reached 420+ plate appearances (2019, 2015). And more could potentially ...
Rays Force Game 4 After 10-3 Onslaught of Astros rotoballer.com Mon 10/7/19 6:39 PM
Zack Greinke and the Astros came into this game favored to beat the Rays and sweep the series. The Rays had other plans, hitting Greinke in the mouth early and often and never letting up. Brandon Lowe, Ji-Man Choi, Kevin Kiermaier, and Willy Adames all connected on home runs. Charlie Morton pitched five one-run innings before handing it over to a tired bullpen, albeit a great one. Chaz Roe had some trouble and allowed two runs, but Drake and Poche cleaned it up with a near-perfect last three ...

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (ribs) remains out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Cleveland Indians. Kiermaier crashed into a wall on Sunday and hasn't been able to suit up since then. He is expected to return to the starting lineup for Saturday, but we'll see if that happens. Avisail Garcia will bat sixth and play center field versus righty Shane Bieber. Garcia has been sluggish with the bat lately, so he won't be a great DFS option here.
