The all-star break is almost here, which means we're getting ever so close to the MLB trade deadline and, of course, the fantasy trade deadline. The waiver wire can play just as important a role, too. Whether you're unable to strike a deal or need to backfill your roster after completing a two-for-one trade, it's critical to do your homework for potential options that you can pick up at a moment's notice. And there's no shortage of intriguing names out there. Here is this week's waiver wir[...]

This article is the second in our series on trade targets for the second half of the season. Part 1 focused on players generally ranked in the top 50. This installment focuses on offensive players ranked outside the top 50. Part three will focus on pitchers. After that, we'll focus on players to target for specific categories rather than positional improvement. Most of the players below have suffered injuries, uncharacteristically disappointing first halves, or shifts in the prevailing atti[...]

Kevin Kiermaier Back in Lineup on Monday rotoballer.com Mon 7/9/18 12:22 PM

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier is back in the lineup after missing Sunday's game with a back injury. He's in center and leading off against Francisco Liriano and the Tigers. Kiermaier is hitting a weak .150 with one home run, five RBI and six stolen bases in 2018. However, he is coming off of a 15/15 season and hitting lead off should help his run scoring potential. It's too soon to give up on him in season-long leagues, although you might be able to find better value in DFS.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier is out of the lineup Sunday with back tightness. The long-term implications for Kiermaier are not clear and for now he is day-to-day. Mallex Smith will cover center field, with Joey Wendle in left field and hitting leadoff. [...]

Hitter Streamers (Week 15) - Head-to-Head Leagues rotoballer.com Sat 7/7/18 2:06 AM

Welcome back to my hitting streamers column for Week 15, taking a look at hitters to add or stream off the waiver wire for this week's scheduled games. To keep things simple, I pick from players who are 50% owned or less and who play at least seven games in the week.  If someone jumps off the page at me as a less than seven game player, I may make an exception, but otherwise the advantage in number of games dictates my choices. Streaming can be a valuable tool, by allowing you to feast on[...]

Kevin Kiermaier Out Of Lineup Sunday rotoballer.com Sun 7/1/18 7:58 AM

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (rest) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros. Kiermaier has started the last 10 straight games, so this is just a routine day off. Johnny Field will come off the bench to start in right field, with Joey Wendle manning left field and Mallex Smith playing center field. Field is hitting just .222 this season and faces a tough matchup against Charlie Morton, so he should not be started by fantasy players today.

Kevin Kiermaier Scores Key Run Versus Washington Tuesday rotoballer.com Wed 6/27/18 2:43 AM

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier scored the only run of the game Tuesday versus the Nationals. He would also steal his third base of the season. Expect his average to keep rising from its current terrible point to something closer to respectability. The center fielder hit 15 home runs and stole 16 bases last season. Kiermaier has the potential to put up double-digit steals and home runs and somewhere in the region of a .260-.270 average across the rest of the season.
