Catching, as a position, has gotten the brunt of fantasy angst over the past few seasons, with an aggregate wRC+ well below league average. And yet, this is precisely the reason that owners should be looking to add the young talent that will be taking these spots in the Majors sooner rather than later. Los Angeles Dodgers prospect, catcher Keibert Ruiz, is starting to get his bat going for Double-A Tulsa. Ruiz finished 2-for-4 on Monday with a home run, three RBI and a run scored. It was his third home run over his past five games and he has now upped his average to .286 over his first 13 games. The 19-year-old is a top-100 prospect and has hit the ball at every level. Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Keibert Ruiz broke out of his slump in a big way on Monday. Playing for the Double-A Tulsa Drillers, Ruiz hit two home runs, breaking his 2-for-22 slump. He's got a terrible .637 OPS right now, but he's the second youngest player in the Texas League (behind Fernando Tatis Jr.) at 19. He's impressing mightily with both his hit tool and power.
