Profar was removed from Saturday's Grapefruit League game against Pittsburgh due to a jammed left wrist.
EDGE Analysis
Initial X-rays on Profar's wrist came back negative, but he will go in for additional testing within the next few days. If the 32-year-old is forced to miss time, an opportunity would open up for Bryan De La Cruz to receive more reps in the outfield.

Profar could hit leadoff for Atlanta until Ronald Acuna (knee) is fully healthy, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Michael Harris might also see action at the top of the lineup, but Profar appears to be the team's best leadoff option while Acuna completes his recovery from ACL surgery. In 83 regular-season plate appearances at leadoff for the Padres last season, Profar delivered an eye-popping .451 OBP, helping to fuel his career-high .380 season-long mark in that category. The 31-year-old also scored a career-high 94 runs in 2024, and he could challenge triple digits if he sees significant time hitting ahead of the likes of Austin Riley, Matt Olson and Marcell Ozuna this season.

Atlanta agreed to terms on a three-year, $42 million contract with Profar on Thursday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Profar delivered the best season of his career in 2024, slashing .280/.380/.459 with 24 homers and 10 steals in 158 games during the regular season with the Padres. He also hit the ball harder than ever with a 91.1 mph average exit velocity. Profar should become Atlanta's everyday left fielder, which could leave Jarred Kelenic without a starting job once Ronald Acuna (knee) returns.

Profar is absent from Sunday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Profar will begin the Padres' regular-season finale on the bench after going 1-for-8 with two runs scored over the first two games of the series. Unless he pinch hits Sunday, he'll end the 2024 regular season slashing .280/.380/.459 with 24 home runs and 85 RBIs (both career highs) across 668 plate appearances. David Peralta will start in left field and bat third.

Profar went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, two RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Profar knotted the game up in the bottom of the third with a solo home run and then put the Padres ahead for good with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. He now has at least one hit in 13 of his last 15 games but has only driven in four runs despite posting a .345 average during that span. Profar continues to shine in his 31-year-old season, slashing .285/.385/.469 with 24 homers, 85 RBI, 90 runs, 10 steals and a 75:96 BB:K in 646 plate appearances.

Profar went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Monday's 3-1 win over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The only blemish on Profar's stat line was when he was caught stealing in the third inning. His bat started to fade in late August, but the outfielder has gone 14-for-43 (.326) with five extra-base hits and nine walks over 12 contests in September. This has been his best season to date, as Profar is slashing .285/.386/.467 with 23 homers, 83 RBI and 87 runs scored, all of which are career highs. He's added nine stolen bases and 27 doubles.

Profar went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk in Thursday's loss to Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Profar got the Padres on the board with a 411-foot solo homer off Casey Mize in the first inning and later drew a free pass, extending his streak of games with at least one walk to five. The long ball was Profar's 22nd of the season and his first in September -- he's batting just .125 (1-for-8) with two RBI, five walks and a run scored on the month. The outfielder has really struggled at the plate down the stretch, as he also batted just .196 in August. However, he's somewhat been able to make up for his lack of hitting by drawing 18 walks since the start of August, which has helped him score 20 runs over that span.

Profar is not in the lineup for Monday's contest against the Tigers, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the first day off since June 22 for Profar, who has just one hit over his last even games (although he has drawn nine walks over that span). David Peralta will take over in left field while Profar gets a breather.

Profar went 1-for-2 with four walks, two runs and a stolen base in a 13-5 win against Tampa Bay on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Profar did an excellent job setting the table out of the leadoff spot for San Diego, drawing four free passes and adding a single. The All-Star outfielder busted a four-game mini-slump during which he went 0-for-14. Despite that brief downturn, Profar has been an overall consistent producer for the Padres this season, slashing .283/.384/.465 with 21 home runs, 80 RBI, 79 runs and eight stolen bases through 566 plate appearances.

Profar went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Profar finally got the Padres on the board with a game-tying two-run blast in the eighth inning and they would go on to walk it off in the ninth. He has at least a hit in four straight games, which also includes an extra-base hit in three straight. The home run was his 21st of the year, a new career-high for the 31-year-old in his 11th season. For the year, Profar is slashing .291/.386/.478 with 79 RBI, 75 runs, seven steals and a 58:80 BB:K in 541 plate appearances.
