Riddle is back on the bench Saturday against lefty Tyler Anderson and the Rockies, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Riddle has sat in favor of Miguel Rojas in two of the Marlins' first three games, but there hasn't yet been any reason to assume anything other than a platoon between the two, as the Rockies started lefties on both occasions. Rojas will play shortstop and lead off Saturday.

Riddle will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Friday's game against the Rockies, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Riddle was left off of the Opening Day lineup, but will get the starting nod at short with righty German Marquez on the bump. Riddle will most likely split time with Miguel Rojas, who was given the start Wednesday with a lefty on the mound. For the time being, the shortstop position looks to be a strict platoon based on the pitching matchup, but an everyday starter could emerge if either Riddle or Rojas heat up.

Riddle went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Miguel Rojas got the start at shortstop with lefty Kyle Freeland on the mound for Colorado, but Riddle showed that he can make an impact against same-side pitching when he took Freeland deep in the sixth inning as a pinch hitter -- the only run the Marlins managed against Freeland on the night. Riddle is expected to see the majority of playing time at shortstop this season for Miami, but his .654 career OPS in 173 MLB games doesn't suggest he'll have much fantasy value.

Riddle is not in the Opening Day lineup against the Rockies, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
With lefty Kyle Freeland getting the start for Colorado, the Marlins will go with a righty-heavy lineup. The Marlins might be the rare team that goes with a strict platoon at shortstop this year, with Riddle starting against righties and Miguel Rojas starting against lefties.

Riddle went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old has had a rough start to the spring at the plate and is now hitting .083 (2-for-24), with Friday's homer being his only extra-base hit. By contrast, Riddle's main competition for the starting shortstop job, Miguel Rojas, has gone 7-for-17 (.412) so far, although all seven hits were singles. Neither player offers much fantasy value, especially if they're working in a timeshare again, but Riddle would be the slightly more desirable option in a pure platoon as the left-handed hitter of the two.

Riddle remains on the bench Saturday against the Mets, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miguel Rojas starts at shortstop for the second straight game. Both players have an identical 79 wRC+ this season, providing little clarity as to who has the inside edge at shortstop going into next year, should both remain with the team.

Riddle went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
His bases-loaded double in the second inning gave the Marlins an early 4-0 lead, but it didn't hold up on what was a bullpen day for the Miami staff. Riddle's .236/.285/.402 slash line through 91 games doesn't give him much fantasy appeal, but his current spot at the top of the lineup does provide him with extra opportunities for counting stats.
