The Oakland Athletics avoided salary arbitration with catcher Josh Phegley on Thursday by agreeing to a one-year, $1.075 million deal. Phegley is a backup-caliber catcher in the big leagues and hit only .204/.255/.344 with two long balls and 15 RBI in just 39 games for Oakland in 2018. He has very limited fantasy value in the deepest of leagues.
