The Rangers are expected to place Jung (wrist) on the 10-day injured list, ending his season, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jung hasn't played since last Wednesday due to recurring discomfort in his surgically repaired right wrist. He is scheduled to be seen by a hand specialist Thursday in hopes of getting more information on the injury. Ezequiel Duran has started three of the last four games at third base and should continue to be the primary option at the position in the final week of the season. The Rangers are expected to promote either Dustin Harris or Sam Huff from the minors to take Jung's spot on the 28-man active roster.

Jung is being shut down for a couple days with discomfort in his right wrist near the surgical site, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Make sure to get Jung out of Friday lineups and weekend lineups wherever you've got a healthy, active option. Jonathan Ornelas is starting at third base and batting ninth Friday. Jung will go to Arizona to meet with the surgeon Monday and the team is hopeful Jung will play during the season-ending road trip, which begins Tuesday in Oakland. With Texas out of playoff contention, it wouldn't be surprising if Jung doesn't return this season.

Jung went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 5-4 win over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Jung launched his seventh homer and first in eight games in the second inning to give Texas an early lead. Since returning from a thumb injury that cost him nearly four months, Jung is slashing .260/.288/.390 with five home runs, nine RBI, three steals and 13 runs scored over 38 games.

Jung went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional RBI, a stolen base and a hit-by-pitch in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Jung opened the scoring with a fourth-inning homer and contributed to the Rangers' comeback push with an RBI single in the eighth. The third baseman has gone 13-for-40 (.325) with two homers and three steals over his last 10 contests. Jung went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer in Sunday's extra-inning win over Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Jung was 1-for-4 with a single and two punchouts before he ripped a walk-off shot in the 10th inning. He snapped a 10-game homerless drought with his first long ball since Aug. 18. Through 32 games this season, Jung is slashing .260/.275/.425 with 10 extra-base hits and 12 RBI over 131 plate appearances.

Jung is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
Josh Smith will start at third base and bat third against right-hander Joey Estes. Jung has hit safely in six of his last seven games and he swiped two bags Thursday, but the 26-year-old is still slashing just .229/.234/.314 with two homers in 27 games since returning from right wrist surgery.

Jung went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases in Thursday's 2-1 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Jung stole second base in the fifth inning and then swiped third base in the seventh. It was his first career game with multiple stolen bases, which is no surprise since he entered Thursday's game with only four career steals. The multi-hit game was good to see as well, as Jung had gone 5-for-30 over his last eight games. The 26-year-old is hitting .228 in 26 games since his return from injury late in July.

Jung is serving as Texas' designated hitter for Sunday's game at Cleveland due to a finger laceration, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old was initially penciled in at third base Sunday, but he'll instead fill a non-defensive role since the laceration affects his ability to throw. Jung will have Monday's team off day to rest up and is expected to be fully cleared for Tuesday's series opener versus the White Sox.
