Hello everyone, and welcome to my weekly Top-30 Fantasy Rankings for Impact Rookies! In this series, I will be going over the top prospects in baseball and discussing which ones figure to have an impact for the rest of this fantasy baseball season.
Ronald Acuna cannot be stopped when leading off a ball game. He has been on a tear lately, seemingly launching home runs with ease every other game. Though he missed some time earlier this year, the former No. 1 prospect in the game has excelled in[...]
Rookie Report: Recent MLB Prospect Call-Ups (Week 19) rotoballer.com Thu 8/9/18 3:45 AM
This week was a particularly slow week in the world of prospects; just eight rookies have debuted since the publishing of last week's column. With that being said, there are still a handful of newcomers worth highlighting and a bunch of returners still cooking with gas.
As we come up on the end of the season, it's worth looking into guys worth stashing for next season, so I'll be highlighting a handful of those guys each week in the opening paragraphs of my article. I think Eloy Jimenez and V[...]

The season is really starting to wind down. There are only going to be three more of these lists coming out before the rosters expand to 40 players.
But until then, there is still plenty of important prospect names to follow. Though most of the pl[...]
Rookie Report: Recent MLB Prospect Call-Ups (Week 18) rotoballer.com Thu 8/2/18 3:45 AM
The calendar has turned to August and we still have yet to see some of the big-name prospects that were expected to come up this season. Yes, Kyle Tucker, Willie Calhoun, Juan Soto, and Willy Adames have all made their debuts this season but I seriously doubt that we will see any more of the blue-chip rookies come up this season in time to make a fantasy impact.
With that being said, there is a large crop of rookies to choose from at this point, both blue-chip prospects and less heralded pros[...]

What a crazy week it has been! The trade deadline passed with several more notable names being shipped off, several top prospects featured highly on last week's list — including Tyler O'Neill and Kolby Allard — have since been promoted and Vl[...]
Rookie Report: Recent MLB Prospect Call-Ups (Week 17) rotoballer.com Thu 7/26/18 3:45 AM
Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed your all-star break. I certainly enjoyed mine; it gave me a chance to think about how to approach rookies and prospects for the rest of the season and get an extended look at some top-tier MiLB talent in the futures game. Particularly, Seuly Matias and Taylor Trammell caught my eye, but everyone already knew those guys were shaping up to be studs, so you could say I was late to the party.
On the big league front, there's been some notable movement among prospe[...]

Several of the top trade chips have already been moved so far this month. Manny Machado, Brad Hand, Francisco Mejia, Jeurys Familia and Adam Cimber have all already been shifted around to different teams.
Plenty more moves are going to be made, [...]
Josh Hader Will Not Be Punished By Brewers For Tweets rotoballer.com Thu 7/19/18 4:22 PM
The Milwaukee Brewers will not be punishing relief pitcher Josh Hader for his racist and homophobic tweets that became known during the All-Star break. Hader is taking mandated sensitivity training and it appears that that will be the extent of his punishment. Hader has been excellent on the mound in 2018, pitching to a 1.50 ERA and a 89/19 K/BB ratio with seven saves. However, his controversial tweets, despite being made when he was 17, will hang over him for the rest of the season and arguabl[...]

Hello everyone, and welcome to my weekly Top-30 Fantasy Rankings for Impact Rookies! In this series, I will be going over the top prospects in baseball and discussing which ones figure to have an impact for the rest of this fantasy baseball season.
Happy All-Star Break everyone! The Home Run Derby was electric, the Futures Game was exciting and as of my writing this, the All-Star Game hasn't happened, but I'm sure it will be great too.
Once the break passes though, it will be getting into[...]
Rookie Report: Recent MLB Prospect Call-Ups (Week 15) rotoballer.com Thu 7/12/18 3:45 AM
I'm glad I led off last week's article with Kyle Tucker because the Astros made me look great. They called him up this past weekend and it looks like it's going to take a small adjustment period for Tucker to get adjusted to MLB pitching. We'll get to that later.
The calendar turning to July seems to indicate that the prospect onslaught is incoming. Especially with the trade deadline approaching, teams will be more willing to give their prospects some run after they trade away their veterans[...]
