Josh Hader Closes Out Tiebreaker rotoballer.com Tue 10/2/18 2:37 AM
Milwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Josh Hader came in Monday and dominated the Cubs in the tiebreaker game. Hader came in and breezed through the eighth inning and then went back out to face the top of the Chicago order in the bottom of the ninth inning. He took out the first two batters in relatively easy manner before a battle with Javier Baez ended with a base hit. Last up was Anthony Rizzo who in September had become the first left-handed batter in Hader's major league career to hit a homer. H[...]

NL-Only Waiver Wire Team of the Week: MLB Week 25 rotoballer.com Tue 9/18/18 8:00 AM
Every week in baseball, a significant player will hit the disabled list, slip into a slump, or get traded out of a good spot. How fantasy owners adapt to these situations can make or break the season as a whole. One lousy add might not hurt the long-term standing of a team, but failing to take advantage of breakouts or impact bats before others sure can.
The primary challenge of playing in an NL or AL-only league is often the lack of options regarding adding and subtracting players when neede[...]
Josh Hader Blows Lead On Monday rotoballer.com Tue 9/4/18 10:51 AM
Milwaukee Brewers reliever Josh Hader gave up a two-run homer to Anthony Rizzo to lose the lead in the eighth inning on Monday against the Cubs. Hader is known for pitching one to two innings at a time, but this time the Brewers tried to get three out of him and it backfired. Hader's ERA has been climbing recently due to a few bad outings and the strikeout rate has started to fall as well. Still, in a league that rewards ratios, Hader is a viable relief option considering his upside, but it's wo[...]
Week 22 MLB Closers and Saves Report rotoballer.com Fri 8/24/18 3:45 AM
Little dudes in the Little League World Series this week; big names, big news this week in baseball's bullpens. An elite closer landed on the disabled list, another guy who looked like he was heading toward elite got demoted, and another elite guy came back and looked anything but elite.
Meanwhile, the White Sox laugh in the face of fantasy baseball's bullpens. The Brewers might have baseball's best reliever but he doesn't (usually) close. The Twins looked like they were figuring out their bu[...]
Rookie Report: Recent MLB Prospect Call-Ups (Week 21) rotoballer.com Thu 8/23/18 3:45 AM
With the fantasy playoffs looming around the corner (or, in some instances, in full swing), rookie impact becomes less and less important due to the fact that there simply aren't any great stashes remaining. A top prospect being promoted for a cup of coffee can make a huge impact, but there does not profile to be a ton of guys who will fill that role this season, making the prospect pool even less intriguing for fantasy purposes.
That does not mean, however, that there will not be any cups [...]
2018 Prospects: Top 30 Impact Rookies for Fantasy Leagues (Week 21) rotoballer.com Wed 8/22/18 2:30 AM
Hello everyone, and welcome to my weekly Top-30 Fantasy Rankings for Impact Rookies! In this series, I will be going over the top prospects in baseball and discussing which ones figure to have an impact for the rest of this fantasy baseball season.
It just doesn't seem right. The rain comes in and ends Michael Kopech's start early. He was absolutely electric during his first two innings of work, even if not particularly pitch efficient. The movement on his fastball was insane and the slider l[...]
Josh Hader Locks Down Save Sunday rotoballer.com Mon 8/20/18 2:18 PM
Milwaukee Brewers reliever Josh Hader struck out two batters on nine pitches to secure a 2-1 lead and a save on Sunday against the Cardinals. Hader now has back to back saves in his last two appearances and sits at 10 on the season. The Brewers have had a few different relievers get chances at saves since Corey Knebel lost his job, but it's really a two man race between Hader and Jeremy Jeffress, both of which are having insanely good years. Although Jeffress did give up a run in Sunday's gam[...]
Josh Hader Earns 10th Save Sunday rotoballer.com Sun 8/19/18 7:23 PM
Brewers relief pitcher Josh Hader earned his 10th save of the season Sunday against the Cardinals. Hader struck out two batters in a clean ninth inning that only lasted nine pitches. The 24-year old left-hander has been incredible all season long (on the baseball field) and should continue to see save opportunities going forward. Hader is a must add in all formats going into the fantasy playoffs.
Rookie Report: Recent MLB Prospect Call-Ups (Week 20) rotoballer.com Thu 8/16/18 3:45 AM
A handful of intriguing rookies made their MLB debuts this past week, with two of the top 100 prospects according to MLB Pipeline joining The Show. Save for Jansen, I do not really foresee any of the recently promoted prospects being impact players, at least for fantasy, down the stretch, so it still remained a rather ho-hum week in fake baseball land.
Just two more weeks remain until rosters expand, at which point we should see a handful of guys that are on their team's respective forty-man [...]
