Week 19 Waiver Wire - Catcher rotoballer.com Thu 8/2/18 3:50 AM
With the MLB Trade Deadline fully behind us, it's time to start preparing for the Fantasy Baseball playoffs. With likely major trades happening in your league, one position that could be forgotten is catcher. There's only so many superstars and many teams have to dig through the waiver wire to find their starter.
That being said, the trade deadline has opened up multiple opportunities for players. Outside of that, different back stops have been on a tear lately and could be worth a look. Over[...]
J.A. Happ in Pinstripes - Fantasy Implications rotoballer.com Sun 7/29/18 3:45 AM
Deadline season might be the most exciting of the baseball campaign, with every team making moves even if they are deciding whether to sell or buy. In this case, the teams are moving in opposite directions with one team hoping to win the East, and the other, to stock up for the rebuild that is sure to kick off this year. And yet, both are engaged, and fans have something to keep them checking those Twitter feeds.
Even more, with so little pitching on the block this deadline this season,[...]
Josh Donaldson Resumes Running rotoballer.com Tue 7/10/18 3:34 PM
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) has resumed baseball activities and is doing his running progression with no symptoms. There is still no timetable for his return, and he certainly won't be back before the All-Star break. He's been a bust for fantasy owners with just five homers and 16 RBI in 36 games on the season due to various calf injuries. Donaldson certainly isn't helping his market in free agency this winter.
Josh Donaldson Will Begin To Hit Later This Week rotoballer.com Tue 7/3/18 1:33 PM
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson has begun strengthening activities on his injured left calf and will begin hitting later this week, assuming he still feels good. Donaldson has been on the disabled list since May 29 and had his rehab shut down late in June after suffering a setback. However, this time around Donaldson really just might be close to returning. The Blue Jays certainly hope so. Slashing a disappointing .234/.333/.423 with only five home runs in 139 at-bats, Toronto nee[...]

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson suffered a setback during his rehab, and will now rest and be reevaluated in about three weeks. It was discovered in an MRI that Donaldson has an acute strain of his left calf, which likely occurred while he was taking ground balls as the team's training complex in Florida. [...]

Josh Donaldson To Rejoin Blue Jays On Friday rotoballer.com Fri 6/15/18 5:27 AM
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson has left the team's facility in Dunedin, Florida, and is traveling up to Toronto to rejoin the big club. That certainly makes it sound as though Donaldson will be activated from the disabled list for the Blue Jays' weekend series with the [...]
Josh Donaldson Remains Out On Wednesday rotoballer.com Wed 6/13/18 6:51 AM
The "will he or won't he" question regarding Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson has been answered on Wednesday: he's not in the lineup for the team's matinee against the Tampa Bay Rays. Manager John Gibbons said there was a chance Donaldson could be activated for [...]
Josh Donaldson To Return Wednesday? rotoballer.com Tue 6/12/18 1:31 PM
Toronto Blue Jays superstar third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) will come off the disabled list on Wednesday as long as he's good to go, according to manager John Gibbons. Donaldson had been dealing with left calf tightness, and that may be part of the reason for his slow start of five homers and 16 RBI and a .234 average. The Blue Jays will surely welcome the former MVP back into their lineup, just as any fantasy owner should upon his return.
Josh Donaldson Has Yet To Complete Baserunning Drills rotoballer.com Sun 6/10/18 2:00 PM
While it sounded as though Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson was at least close to coming off the disabled list, it may not be as much of a certainty as we thought. Donaldson, out for about two weeks with a calf injury, has yet to complete some baserunning drills -; which he needs to do prior to being activated from the disabled list. I'm no doctor, but presumably if Donaldson could run at full effort, he simply would have done so already. [...]
