The Atlanta Braves agreed to a one-year, $23 million deal with free-agent third baseman Josh Donaldson on Monday, according to sources. The deal is pending a physical. Donaldson will hope to bounce back in 2019 after missing most of the 2018 season due to lingering calf issues. Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor and third baseman Josh Donaldson are back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox. Both players received off days on Monday, but are back and ready to go on Tuesday. Lindor will lead off and play shortstop, while Donaldson bats fifth and plays third base versus righty James Shields. It's tough to ignore Lindor and Donaldson against Shields who has been mediocre this season.

Donaldson will bat fifth and serve as the DH against lefty Chris Sale. Donaldson is hitting .258/.273/.645 with four home runs and nine RBI off Sale in his career. Donaldson might be too expensive to warrant ownership in DFS contests against Sale on Friday.
