Diamondbacks and RHP Josh Collmenter avoided arbitration by agreeing to a two-year, $2.425 million contract, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports. The deal also includes one club option and a mutual option that could bring the total amount of the deal to $6.5 million. The right-hander found his calling in long relief last season with the Diamondbacks, putting up a 3.13 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 85/33 K/BB ratio over 92 innings.

Collmenter has a 3.92 ERA and 74/20 K/BB ratio over 80 1/3 innings in nine starts and 17 relief appearances this year and could be worth using in NL-only leagues.

The Diamondbacks aren't setting a timetable for his return, but Collmenter is hoping to be activated Friday when first eligible and seems to have a good shot at accomplishing that goal.
