Bell went 3-for-5 with an RBI double Monday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
He's slashing .364/.400/.652 with three homers and 17 RBI in his last 70 plate appearances, lifting his batting average to its highest mark (.253) since May 24. Bell's recent hot streak started after his only off-day of the season July 4. With 18 homers and an .818 OPS, the first baseman might be better positioned for NL Rookie of the Year honors if not for the Dodgers' Cody Bellinger.

Bell went 4-for-6 with a double, a triple, a run scored and four RBI in Friday's 13-5 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old greatly enjoyed his first game in Coors Field, as so many have before him. He now has a .333/.375/.567 slash line in eight games since the All-Star break with a homer and eight RBI, and with the Pirates' offense back at full strength following the return of Starling Marte, Bell should see plenty of run-producing opportunities down the stretch.

Bell is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Bell is beginning to find his stroke at the plate in July, as he holds a .288/.362/.519 in the month. Nonetheless, he'll head the bench for his first night off since July 4. Jose Osuna will man first base in his place.

Bell went 2-for-3 with a homer, two walks and four RBI Friday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Bell's 17th of blast of the year was of the walk-off variety, lifting the Pirates to a dramatic 5-2 victory. Despite having a weak batting average, he's provided fantasy managers with a solid .484 slugging percentage, making him a good option as a corner infielder.

Bell went 2-for-5 with a double, a homer, two runs and three RBI Thursday in Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Bell's error on a third-inning pickoff attempt allowed a runner to score all the way from first, but he atoned for that mistake with a two-run homer in the very next frame. The first baseman struck again in the decisive three-run eighth, driving in the go-ahead run with a double before coming around to score himself. Bell's now slashing .229/.314/.465 with 42 runs scored and 42 RBI in 85 games.

Tue 7/4/17 12:44 PM

Bell is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Bell hasn't had a day off since June 20, so was likely overdue for a maintenance day. He's also hitless in his last two games, so the day of rest will give him an opportunity to hit the reset button. John Jaso will man first base in his stead, giving the Pirates an extra lefty bat in the lineup.

Sat 6/24/17 11:05 AM

Bell went 1-for-4 with his 14th homer -- and second in three games -- Friday against St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
The switch-hitter continues to show defining splits which could help decide whether to start him or sit him. Against right-handed pitching, Bell is slashing .257/.340/.497 with 10 homers and 25 RBI in 187 at-bats. Southpaws are limiting the rookie to .169/.246/.390 with four homers and eight RBI in 59 at-bats.

Thu 6/22/17 4:14 AM

Bell went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old is now chasing history, as his 13 homers leave him just two shy of Hall of Famer Ralph Kiner's franchise rookie record for home runs in the first half. Bell's .235 batting average is a disappointment considering he routinely challenged or broke the .300 mark in the minors. but as his game continues to develop the switch hitter could emerge as a legitimate four-category fantasy producer.

Bell is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Bell is hitless over his last two contests (0-for-8), so he'll head to the bench for a breather after starting six straight games. Jose Osuna will start at first base in his place.

Bell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, three RBI and two runs during Friday's loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
It's been an up-and-down sophomore campaign for Bell. He's made the most of his .238 batting average and .319 on-base percentage with a serviceable 12 homers, 30 RBI and 33 runs. Bell has also carved out a role in the heart of the Pittsburgh lineup, so that will help buoy his fantasy value going forward.
