Davis will start in center field and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
After Hunter Renfroe (calf) landed on the 10-day injured list June 26, Davis appeared to settle into a short-side platoon role in the outfield with Jace Peterson, but both Davis and Peterson look as though they'll have an opportunity to play on a near-everyday basis in the short term. Tyrone Taylor (concussion) joined Renfroe on the injured list Sunday, creating openings in center and right field that will most likely be filled by Davis and Peterson until one of the two injured outfielders is activated. Davis is a strong defender who brings good speed, but a weak bat and a spot at the bottom of the Milwaukee lineup likely won't lend itself to much fantasy value.

Davis (back/ribs) is starting in center field and batting ninth in Friday's series game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
After crashing into the outfield wall Wednesday, Davis was forced to miss the remainder of the contest and was also unavailable for Thursday's loss. He will now return to the lineup in center field where he will fill in for Tyrone Taylor.

Davis (back/ribs) isn't starting Thursday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was removed from Wednesday's game against the Rays due to low back/rib cage discomfort, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available off the bench Thursday. Andrew McCutchen is shifting to right field while Jace Peterson enters the lineup at third base.

Davis was diagnosed with low back/rib cage discomfort after leaving Wednesday's game against the Rays, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis crashed into the wall in center field on a diving catch in the bottom of the second inning and initially remained in the game, but he exited in the bottom of the third inning. The 30-year-old should tentatively be considered day-to-day prior to Thursday's series opener in Pittsburgh.

Davis was removed in the bottom of the third inning Wednesday after suffering an apparent injury to his head or face in the previous inning, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. He struck out in his lone plate appearance prior to departing.
EDGE Analysis
Davis made one of the catches of the season to kick off the bottom of the second, flagging down a screaming line drive off the bat of Randy Arozarena at the warning track. He appeared to run face-first into the outfield fence, but he stayed in the game for the remainder of the inning. However, after Davis was evaluated in the dugout in the next half inning, the Brewers opted to hold him out for the remainder of the contest. Jace Peterson entered the game as a replacement for Davis.

Davis is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Kolten Wong's (calf) return from the 10-day injured list Tuesday looks as though it may indirectly bump Davis into a short-side platoon role. With Wong set to handle an everyday role at second base, the versatile Jace Peterson no longer has a regular spot in the infield, so he'll occupy right field in Tuesday's game. As a left-handed hitter, Peterson projects to handle the larger side of a platoon in the outfield with the right-handed Davis, who is out of the lineup while righty Shane Baz takes the hill for Tampa Bay. Davis started in each of the previous four games, going 3-for-14 with two walks, a stolen base, a run and an RBI.

Davis went 1-for-3 with an RBI, a run scored and a steal in Sunday's victory over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Davis knocked in Tyrone Taylor on an infield single in the second inning, then came around to score later in the inning on a Willy Adames Single. Davis also picked up his first steal of the season in Sunday's game. Since Milwaukee selected his contract on June 18, the outfielder has five hits in five games and is slashing .278/.381/.278 during that span.

Davis is starting in center field and batting ninth Sunday against the Blue Jays, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old is starting his fourth straight game and should continue to have an increased role for the near future since Hunter Renfroe (calf) was placed on the injured list Sunday. Davis had his contract selected by Milwaukee last weekend and is 4-for-15 with two walks and five strikeouts.

Davis' contract was selected from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis began the season in Nashville, where he slashed .297/.408/.426 with three homers, 22 runs, 18 RBI and 11 stolen bases. The 30-year-old made major-league appearances for the Blue Jays and Yankees over the last four seasons and should provide outfield depth for Milwaukee after Lorenzo Cain was designated for assignment Saturday. Davis is starting in center field and batting ninth against the Reds on Saturday.

The Brewers reassigned Davis to their minor-league camp Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis' speed and ability to play all three outfield spots give him some value as an organizational depth piece for Milwaukee, but his status as a non-roster invitee at spring training realistically made him a long shot for the Opening Day roster. He's expected to open the season at Triple-A Nashville and will likely need an outfielder or two on the MLB roster to succumb to an injury before he receives a call-up to Milwaukee.
