Heim smoked a double off Cole Irvin before bashing a game-winning two-run homer off Andrew Chafin in the eighth inning. The long ball is Heim's first since Aug. 1 and can perhaps put some juice back in the catcher's bat. His average has slid from .227 to .200 since the start of August.

The backstop had established himself as Texas' primary catcher prior to being sidelined, and he figures to continue getting the majority of starts behind the plate during the season's final month. Heim was scratched from the lineup Monday due to health and safety protocols, and now he has been moved off the active roster. It's still not known if the backstop has tested positive for the virus, but he'll be away from the team for at least the next few games in any scenario.
