Berti (oblique) has been pulled from his rehab assignment due to a hamstring strain, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Berti was looking at possibly returning shortly after the All-Star break, but this issue will push him back indefinitely. Depending on the severity of the strain, Berti may not be able to resume his rehab before August.

Berti (oblique) will continue his rehab assignment at Triple-A New Orleans through the All-Star break, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Berti began the rehab stint Saturday and will spend a couple weeks in the minors while making his way back from the left oblique strain. The 29-year-old had a .237/.324/.373 slash line over 22 games in a utility role prior to the injury.

Berti (oblique) is ready to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A New Orleans, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Berti has been out for five weeks with the left oblique strain, so he will likely need a week's worth of games with New Orleans at least before he's back up to speed. The owner of an underwhelming .237/.324/.373 line this season, Berti will likely slide back into a utility role upon activation.

Berti (oblique) fielded grounders Tuesday and has started a hitting and throwing progression, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The report doesn't mention that Berti has resumed a running program or that he's been able to track fly balls, so until that happens, he probably can't be considered close to starting up a minor-league rehab assignment. Berti, who has been sidelined since May 18 with a left oblique strain, had been part of an unproductive timeshare in center field with Rosell Herrera. JT Riddle and Harold Ramirez have seemingly since surpassed both Herrera and Berti on the depth chart at the position, so the 29-year-old will likely be relegated to a utility role once healthy.

Berti (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The move was made retroactive to Sunday, so Berti will be eligible to return May 29, though it's unclear if he's expected to require more than a minimum-length stay. Austin Dean was recalled in a corresponding move.

Berti was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Mets with a left oblique strain, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Berti was scheduled to lead off and start in center field Sunday for the fifth time in six games. The severity of the injury is unknown, as is whether the 29-year-old will be available off the bench. Rosell Herrera will take over in center field in his absence.

Berti got the start in center field and hit leadoff during Friday's win over the Mets, going 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old has already played shortstop and third base for the Marlins since his promotion, and now he's added center and left field to his resume in recent days. Berti's slashing just .232/.313/.321 with a homer, a steal, three RBI and 10 runs over 21 games, so even though he's seeing fairly regular playing time and getting looks at the top of the order, his fantasy value remains restricted to deep NL-only formats.

Berti went 1-for-2 with a solo homer, two runs scored and two walks in Monday's 6-5 win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Berti's sixth-inning homer was the first of his short MLB career and knotted the game up at 3-3. On the year, he's 8-for-33 but has scored eight runs and driven in three.

Berti is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Braves, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Berti had started six of the Marlins' previous seven games, with his spike in at-bats mostly a result of Neil Walker missing time due to hamstring and knee injuries. Walker returned to the lineup Saturday and will check in at first base again in the series finale, so Berti will retreat to a bench role while Martin Prado moves across the diamond to the hot corner.

Berti got the start at third base and hit seventh Wednesday, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in a win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old minor-league veteran has been getting regular playing time lately with Neil Walker (hamstring) and Garrett Cooper (hand) both banged up, and Berti has started to find his footing in the majors, going 5-for-16 with two walks over the last five games. He could become a base-stealing threat down the road -- he swiped 30 bags on 40 attempts across three levels last year -- but for now his fantasy value is very limited.
