Votto went 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk in Tuesday's 9-5 loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
It was the slugger's 11th dinger of the season, a two-run shot in the seventh. The Cincy slugger now has a nine-game hitting streak, with multiple hits coming in five of those contests. He has 18 hits in May and is providing substantial power in the middle of the Reds' order.

Votto went 1-for-3 with two RBI from a single and a groundout in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The slugging first baseman extended his hitting streak to five games and has also reached safely in 15 straight contests overall. He's racked up a .407 average and 14 RBI over the first 10 games of May as well, propelling his team-leading total in the latter category to 33, which also ranks second in the majors. Votto has impressively lowered his strikeout rate from 17.7 percent to 11.6 percent this season, with his contact rate seeing a corresponding boost to a career-best 85 percent. Moreover, he's accomplished his aforementioned excellent production with a .267 BABIP that is over 100 points lower than the .373 figure he'd generated the prior two seasons.

Votto went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and three RBI in Monday's 10-4 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The home run was Votto's 10th on the season and came off Masahiro Tanaka in the seventh inning. Known for being more of a slow starter, that hasn't been the case for Votto this season. He's now up to a slash line of .286/.399/.625 with 27 runs scored and 29 RBI in 138 plate appearances. Votto's 22:17 BB:K is also incredible and shows why he's one of the better fantasy first basemen in the league.

Votto went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs during Thursday's win over Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a monster start to the season for Votto, as the first baseman is up to 22 runs, nine home runs and 24 RBI with a .270/.375/.610 slash line. Considering he's historically been a slow starter and a better hitter in the second half, 2017 is shaping up to be another banner campaign for Votto.

Votto hit an RBI single in the eighth inning Sunday off of the Cardinals' Trevor Rosenthal to put the Reds ahead in their eventual win. He went 2-for-5 on the day.
EDGE Analysis
Following Sunday Votto ends the month of April hitting .256/.337/.578 with eight homers and 19 RBI. While the batting average and OBP are well below his customary numbers, overall it's a far cry from last year's slow start.

Votto went 1-for-5 with a solo home run during Wednesday's loss to Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
The Cincinnati offense is scoring plenty of runs, and Votto's been a key contributor with 16 runs, five doubles, seven home runs and 16 RBI. While his .237/.333/.539 slash line has room for improvement, the veteran has been a better second-half producer in each of the past three seasons, including posting a monster 1.158 OPS after the All-Star break last year.

Votto went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two runs and five RBI in Saturday's loss to the Cubs
EDGE Analysis
Votto launched his sixth homer of the season off Jake Arrieta, but despite a big day at the plate, he wasn't able to lead his team to a victory. Although he's hitting just .239 in April, his fantasy owners will certainly be happy with his homer total, and there's little worry that the lefty will let down fantasy owners by the time the season ends.

Votto went 2-for-3 with a homer, two walks, two RBI and two runs against the Orioles on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After opening the season with a .158/.214/.368 line through the first 10 games, Votto has reminded fantasy owners about the perils of overreacting to early slumps; he's recovered to go 6-for-13 with a double, two homers and four walks in the last four contests. When all's said and done, Votto will very likely end up sitting on another high-20s homer total along with a batting average north of .300, as usual.

Votto went 0-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in Monday's win over the Pirates, dropping his line for the season down to .192/.250/.500 over 28 plate appearances.
EDGE Analysis
There's plenty of reasons not to be alarmed by Votto's slow start, the most obvious being the small sample. He's also only struck out three times, and he's recovered from slow starts before. MLB.com's Bob Cohn reports that Votto is swinging at more pitches, and doing so earlier in the count than he's accustomed to doing.

Votto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
He ended Jerad Eickhoff's shutout bid by crushing a hanging breaking ball to lead off the bottom of the seventh inning, providing Brandon Finnegan with all the offense he would need on the night. Votto has hit 29 homers in each of the last two seasons, but the rock-steady slugger will need the Reds offense to improve around him if he's going to reach the 100-RBI plateau for the first time since 2011.
