Tinoco gave up one hit in 1.1 scoreless innings to record his fourth hold of the season during Monday's extra-innings loss to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
While it was an effective performance that saw Tinoco fire 13 of 17 pitches for strikes, the right-hander was a long way from closing duties as he entered the game to get the final out of the sixth inning. Tinoco has blown two of his last four saves chances while staggering to an 8.68 ERA in 9.1 innings over his last 10 appearances, and Ronny Henriquez -- who picked up his first career save Sunday -- appears to have emerged as the Marlins' top high-leverage arm.

Tinoco picked up the save in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Cubs, throwing a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Tinoco blew a save Tuesday night, but he retook the mound Wednesday for the ninth frame with the Marlins leading 3-1 and fired a perfect inning. He retired Carson Kelly, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Nico Hoerner in order. In 14 appearances, Tinoco has a 4.61 ERA and a 9:6 K:BB over 13.2 innings.

Tinoco (2-1) blew his first save of the season and took the loss Tuesday as the Marlins fell 5-4 to the Cubs, recording just one out in the ninth inning. He was charged with three runs (two earned) on two hits and a walk.
EDGE Analysis
A Xavier Edwards error put the leadoff hitter aboard in the ninth for the Cubs, and Tinoco was never able to regain his focus before eventually serving up a walk-off double to Justin Turner. The Marlins' closing picture remains a mess, but Tinoco leads the team with three saves, although chances have been few and far between of late with Miami in a 3-13 tailspin. On the season, the 30-year-old right-hander carries a 4.97 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 8:6 K:BB through 12.2 innings.

Tinoco earned the save in Saturday's 3-1 win over the White Sox after tossing a scoreless ninth inning. He did not allow a hit or walk, nor did he record a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
With Calvin Faucher dispatched for the seventh inning, Tinoco got the call for the ninth to preserve the Marlins' two-run lead. Despite facing the heart of the White Sox's lineup, Tinoco needed just 10 pitches (eight strikes) to get through the frame, finishing things off by getting Joshua Palacios to ground out. Tinoco is up to three saves on the season with a 3.65 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 8:5 across 12.1 innings.

Tinoco threw a perfect inning and earned a save against the Reds on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Tinoco had no trouble retiring Cincinnati's 7-8-9 hitters in order to close out the 6-3 victory. He threw nine of 11 pitches for strikes to earn his second save in as many days. Tinoco has delivered four straight scoreless innings after coughing up two runs April 12 in his first appearance after a stint on the injured list.

The Marlins reinstated Tinoco (back) from the 15-day injured list Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
After picking up the Opening Day win against the Pirates, Tinoco was placed on the 15-day IL on March 30 due to a left lower-back strain. He began throwing off a mound in late April, and the 28-year-old right-hander has progressed enough in his recovery to return to the big club. Tinico appeared in 32 regular-season games between the Rangers, Cubs and Marlins in 2024 and logged a 3.32 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, three saves and a 42:12 K:BB across 40.2 innings.

Tinoco (back) threw a bullpen session Friday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
A back strain sent Tinoco to the injured list Sunday, but he is now back to throwing off a mound just a few days later. His progress is a good sign that he may be able to return when eligible April 12, though the Marlins haven't committed to that date just yet.

Miami placed Tinoco on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a lower-back strain.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander picked up the win Opening Day with a scoreless frame. He'll be unavailable for at least the next couple weeks due to the back issue, but it's unclear how long Tinoco might be sidelined. Calvin Faucher remains the favorite to see ninth-inning work for the Marlins.

Tinoco (1-0) was credited with the win for Thursday's game against Pittsburgh. He allowed one one walk and one hit while striking out a batter across one scoreless frame.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old right-hander was called from the bullpen for the top of the ninth inning, and after giving up a double and walk to Tommy Pham and Bryan Reynolds, respectively, Tinoco managed to escape the frame by striking out Joey Bart. It's worth noting that Tinoco got the call in a high-leverage situation over Calvin Faucher, with the duo battling for the top closer job in spring training. Tinoco tossed 26 pitches in his one inning of work, which could limit his availability Friday.

Tinoco gave up four runs on four hits, including two home runs, in one inning during Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old right-hander is projected to split closing duties with Calvin Faucher to begin the season, but Tinoco did himself no favors with Thursday's outing as the long balls didn't exactly come against Houston's most dangerous bats -- Jake Meyers and Zack Short did the honors in the seventh inning. Tinoco has a rough 9.72 ERA and 7:5 K:BB through 8.1 Grapefruit League innings, but Faucher hasn't been much better this spring with an 8.10 ERA and 6:4 K:BB through 6.2 frames. The Marlins' closing picture could remain muddled well into the summer.
