EDGE Analysis
Winker played a part in all but one of the Reds' runs in the contest. He doubled home a pair of runners in the second inning and crushed a two-run homer to right field in the seventh. Winker has enjoyed two three-hit games in his past five contests and is slashing .297/.374/.531 with 20 homers and 56 RBI in his breakout campaign.

EDGE Analysis
He sent the game to extras with his second two-bagger of the night, driving in Aristides Aquino in the ninth inning off Mets closer Edwin Diaz, but the Reds couldn't seal the deal. Winker hasn't gone yard since June 29, slashing .140/.234/.158 over his prior 14 games coming into Monday, but this performance is a good sign the 27-year-old is ready to bust out of his slump.

Winker took Nabil Crismatt yard in the fifth inning to record his 19th homer of the season. Winker has shown no negative effects since suffering a minor injury Saturday, doubling and homering in two starts since. This performance continued what has been a breakout season for Winker, as he's maintained a .324/.402/.596 line with 48 RBI and 55 runs scored across 311 plate appearances.

Winker left Saturday's game against Atlanta with a bruised right hip, but he didn't seem concerned with the issue. He didn't start Sunday's game but did draw a walk off the bench. The outfielder will still get at least the beginning portion of the series finale off and it's to be seen if he'll be available off the bench.
