Hellickson's start was pushed back to Friday against the Mets.
Archie Bradley (shoulder tendinitis) was placed on the DL and Robbie Ray was called up from Triple-A to start Thursday, which pushes Hellickson back a day. While he will have an extra day of rest, his 5.08 ERA and 1.41 WHIP suggest he is still very much a low-end starting pitching option.

Hellickson evened his record at 3-3 Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over six innings, striking out three.
After an ugly beginning to the season, Hellickson has now turned in three straight quality starts and won two in a row. His 5.08 ERA still needs a lot of work, but he'll try to keep his momentum going on Thursday, at home against the Mets.

Hellickson earned his second win of the season on Sunday, giving up three runs and striking out four over 6.2 innings against the Cubs.
The 28-year-old has struggled for the most part, but has now delivered back-to-back quality starts and has lowered his ERA to 5.33 on the season. Hellickson will face the Brewers in his next scheduled start on Saturday, and his inconsistency should keep him on the waiver-wire for now.

Hellickson threw well Tuesday, going six innings with four strikeouts, while giving up two runs on four hits and a walk, in a no-decision against the Marlins.
The 28-year-old has been a disappointment this year after coming over from the Rays in an off-season trade. This may be the result from some bad luck - his strand rate is a bit below his career norm, while his BABIP is a bit higher than in the past - but he has also lost some fastball velocity and is giving up a few more home runs, which is problematic in his new home park. Hopefully, this start is an encouraging sign of things to come.

Hellickson didn't receive a decision after allowing four runs on four hits over 5.2 innings Wednesday against Washington. He struck out three, walked four (one intentional) and hit a batter.
Hellickson's starts this year have been nearly an uninterrupted streak of failures, and Wednesday was no different, as he failed to post a quality start for the sixth time in seven games. Considering how good Robbie Ray was in his spot start and how bad Hellickson has been, it wouldn't be surprising to see the D-Backs demote Hellickson to the bullpen or Triple-A sooner rather than later. For now, he's scheduled to start Tuesday against Miami.

Hellickson lasted just 4.2 innings and allowed five runs on eight hits in the 6-5 loss to the Padres.
Hellickson continues to struggle as he now posts a 5.85 ERA to go along with a 1.73 WHIP. Hellickson will continue to start and is always a good option to stream against in fantasy at this point. With that said, Hellickson actually has a decent matchup next Friday against the Phillies.

Hellickson pitched 5.1 innings Saturday, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk, while striking out 6, in a no decision against the Dodgers.
This counts as an encouraging outing for Hellickson considering his year to date. It's the second consecutive outing in which he has struck out six. He has just one win so far and has posted a 5.20 ERA and 1.66 WHIP in five starts.

Hellickson, Saturday's starter for the D-Backs, has struggled against left-handed batters this year - they are batting .439 with a 1.039 OPS against him, notes the Arizona Republic's Nick Piecoro.
While Hellickson is off to a tough start with his new club, he hasn't had significant platoon splits in his career. He can probably expect to see a Dodgers' lineup stacked with lefties on Saturday.

Hellickson took his third loss of the season Sunday, giving up four earned runs on seven hits and two walks, while striking out six, in 4.2 innings.
Hellickson is not off to a particularly good start with the Diamondbacks, with just a 5.24 ERA and 1.75 WHIP in 22.1 innings pitched through four starts. That said, his 3.42 FIP suggests that he is getting somewhat unlucky and there isn't a replacement for him waiting in the wings, so his leash is probably a bit longer, but he has managed just one decent performance thus far so he needs to turn things around soon.

Hellickson picked up his first win of the season Sunday, tossing 6.2 innings of one-run ball, while allowing eight hits and a walk, and striking out two in a 5-1 win over the Giants.
While it wasn't a dominating performance, this counts as a big improvement over his first two outings. It was promising to see Hellickson give up just the one walk, but he is not fanning many batters this year, even for him. He will look to build off of this performance in his next start, which should come back at Chase Field during the Diamondbacks upcoming home stand.
