Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Jeff Hoffman has been recalled and is drawing the start against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. Hoffman has a chance to take a rotation spot in Colorado if he pitches well. However, he owns a 7.57 ERA in Triple-A this season. Hoffman can be avoided in fantasy leagues right now, even against the struggling Orioles offense.

It sounds like the Rockies are going to move lefty Kyle Freeland to Saturday, so Hoffman is lined up to pitch on Friday. Hoffman was once a top pitching prospect, but has failed to do much of anything in the big leagues. The Orioles are basically no threat on offense, but Hoffman still remain unreliable for fantasy purposes.
