Martinez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old continues to absolutely mash left-handed pitching -- Saturday's homer off Madison Bumgarner was his ninth in just 62 at-bats against lefties this season. He will face southpaws in the first two games of next week's series against the Dodgers (Rich Hill and Hyun-Jin Ryu).

Martinez went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer against the Mets on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
He started the Diamondbacks off on the right foot with the first-inning blast against fill-in starter Tommy Milone, though Martinez proceeded to strike out in two of his three remaining at-bats. While the slugger's hitting just .233 since coming over to Arizona before the trade deadline, his power certainly hasn't suffered -- this marks his 10th homer in 29 games with his new club -- and the average will surely improve in due time.

Martinez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
This was Martinez's ninth homer with Arizona, and he sports a rock-solid .903 OPS since moving to the National League. He's also settled into a cushy fantasy setup hitting behind Paul Goldschmidt in the heart of the D-backs' lineup and projects to remain a high-end fantasy asset throughout the stretch drive.

Martinez (illness) is starting in right field and batting fifth for Saturday's game against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Martinez is ready to resume his duties in right field after missing Friday's game due to an illness. The 29-year-old, who is slashing .239/.337/.580 with eight homers in 25 games with the Diamondbacks, will face Jose Berrios in his return to the lineup.

Martinez has been scratched from Friday's lineup against Minnesota with an illness, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
This will be the first game Martinez has missed in a solid August, in which he owns a .250/.364/.518 line with eight RBI and as many extra-base hits. Look for him to return to the lineup shortly; in the meantime, Brandon Drury will replace him in the lineup.

Martinez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer Wednesday in Houston.
EDGE Analysis
Martinez has turned into an-all-or nothing slugger since being traded to Arizona in mid-July, mashing eight home runs in 24 games en route to a .595 slugging percentage but batting just .238. He also struck out once in this one, giving him 20 whiffs in the past 17 games.

Martinez went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Martinez has recorded just one hit in eight at-bats against his former team through the first two games of the series, but his struggles in making consistent contact have been a regular issue since the Diamondbacks first acquired him in July. While Martinez has lived up to expectations in the power department with seven home runs and a .563 slugging percentage in 80 at-bats with the team, he's hitting only .225 with a 30.1 percent strikeout rate during that time. That's certainly not what the Diamondbacks had anticipated from Martinez after the outfielder hit .314 while striking out in only 24.2 percent of his plate appearances with the Tigers prior to the trade.

Martinez went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Martinez gave the Diamondbacks their only lead of the game in the sixth inning, when his RBI single plated A.J. Pollock. With eight home runs since his July 18 acquisition from the Tigers, Martinez has certainly met the Diamondbacks' expectations in the power department, and now he's begun to cut down on the strikeouts and make more consistent contact as well. Two of Martinez's three multi-hit games with the Diamondbacks have come in the last four contests.

Martinez went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, walk and an RBI in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Giants in 10 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Six of Martinez's eight hits as a member of the Diamondbacks had been long balls, but interestingly enough, it was the home run that eluded him Saturday in his quest for the cycle. Even after the three-hit night, Martinez is batting just .224 since being acquired from the Tigers on July 18, so he'll need to demonstrate further improvement in that regard in order to meet the high expectations fantasy owners have for him as four-category asset.

Martinez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and two runs in Thursday's 10-8 win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Martinez and Paul Goldschmidt connected on back-to-back home runs off All-Star closer Wade Davis in the ninth inning to break a tie and send the Diamondbacks to a series victory. In just 12 games (11 starts) with his new team, Martinez has already amassed six home runs and 14 RBI, but the impact has been somewhat dampened by a .195 average.
