However, it is possible that he is just a Quadruple-A hitter, given his age and lack of pedigree.

Although he's expected to start the 2017 season at Triple-A Nashville, the promising outfielder hopes to emulate the path of infielder Ryon Healy, who thrived in a major league opportunity in 2016 after beginning the campaign with a second tour of duty at Double-A Midland, as Brugman did. "We both kind of had a chip on our shoulders. Repeating a level is tough. It kind of gets you down if you let it, so to have that kind of a running competition, it's a healthy thing to have to kind of push each other."
