Paxton (forearm) is on track to return from from the disabled list Saturday to start against the A's, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paxton was able to get through another bullpen session Tuesday with no issues, clearing the way for him to rejoin the big-league rotation over the weekend. The big lefty, who has been on the shelf since suffering a forearm bruise from a line drive Aug. 14, owns a 3.68 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 176:37 K:BB across 24 starts (139.1 innings) this season.

Paxton (forearm) will throw another bullpen session Tuesday before returning from the disabled list, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paxton completed his first bullpen session Friday since suffering a forearm bruise from a line drive Aug. 14. Tuesday's bullpen session puts the Mariners' left-hander on track to return next Friday or Saturday in Oakland.

Paxton (forearm) completed a bullpen session Friday, Jake Rill reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paxton has been on the disabled list since Aug. 15 due to a left forearm contusion, and he managed to throw his first bullpen session since suffering the injury. He'll likely return from the shelf sometime during Seattle's road trip against Oakland beginning Aug. 30, as manager Scott Servais doesn't want Paxton to have to see any at-bats.

Paxton (forearm) threw for the third straight day Tuesday and could progress to a bullpen session Thursday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paxton has been extending his throwing distance day-by-day as he hopes to return for next week's series against the Athletics. The swelling in the 29-year-old's forearm has mostly dissipated, but progress remains deliberate as they monitor how the arm responds to more intensive throwing, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Paxton (forearm) played catch from 100 feet Monday and may be able to return for next week's series against the A's, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was already reported that Paxton threw from roughly 90-to-100 feet, but the notion that next weekend's series in Oakland is the target date is new information. There is no official plan yet for Paxton's next step, but it sounds like he is less than two weeks away from returning, barring any setbacks.

Paxton (forearm) extended his distance out to 90 feet during Monday's session, TJ Cotterill of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though Paxton continues to show "good progress" according to manager Scott Servais, he is unlikely to return this weekend since the Mariners will be in a National League ballpark against the Diamondbacks. The next step for Paxton will be a mound session, which will provide a better indication for the left-hander's eventual return date.

Paxton (forearm) threw long toss from about 70-to-75 feet Sunday, TJ Cotterill of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mariners skipper Scott Servais said Paxton's first throwing activity since hitting the disabled list last week went according to plan, but the team will wait another day or two before projecting a timetable for the left-hander's return. For what it's worth, Paxton noted that he still experienced some swelling his forearm after the session and estimated that he went at about 60 percent effort, according to TJ Cotterill of The Tacoma News Tribune reports. The Mariners could clear Paxton to resume mound work soon, though it doesn't appear especially promising that he'll be ready to return from the DL at any point during the upcoming week.

Paxton (forearm) was put on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Paxton was placed on the shelf after suffering a left forearm contusion off a line drive in the first inning of Tuesday's start. Though this move officially rules him out for his next turn in the rotation, Paxton could be back in action against the Diamondbacks next weekend, as he's eligible to return from the DL on Aug. 25. In a corresponding move, Christian Bergman was called up from Triple-A Tacoma.

Paxton was diagnosed with a bruised left forearm after undergoing X-rays on Tuesday, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is about the best-case scenario for Paxton and the Mariners after he took a 96-mph line drive off his throwing arm and exited Tuesday's game against the Athletics. Initial fears were much worse for the left-hander as he appeared to be in serious pain and made no attempt to remain in the game. The 29-year-old is currently considered day-to-day, with his next turn in the rotation set to come Monday against the Astros.

Paxton was hit by a line-drive on his left arm and promptly left Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paxton gave up a leadoff home run to Marcus Semien and was struck by the line drive on his throwing arm two batters later. The left-hander didn't wait to be examined by a trainer, walking off the field almost immediately. The severity of the injury is currently unknown as Felix Hernandez took the mound for the Mariners in relief.
