James Paxton Will Be On Pitch Count Monday rotoballer.com Mon 9/24/18 6:55 PM
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton (illness) will be limited to around 70 to 75 pitches in his return on Monday against the A's. The left-hander has been the team's ace and has been very solid for fantasy owners this year with his 3.83 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 194 K's in 150 1/3 innings over 26 starts. However, he hasn't started since Sept. 7 and will be limited in his first start back. Start him at your own risk against a strong lineup.

James Paxton Hopes To Start Monday Or Tuesday rotoballer.com Fri 9/21/18 5:56 PM
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton (illness) is throwing a full bullpen session on Friday and is hoping he can start either Monday or Tuesday against the A's. If Paxton goes on Monday, there's a chance he could make two starts two finish out what has been a fine season for him. However, the left-hander hasn't pitched since Sept. 7 due to the flu and pneumonia, so he'd be a bit risky against Oakland early next week.
James Paxton, Felix Hernandez To Throw Bullpens On Friday rotoballer.com Wed 9/19/18 6:10 PM
Seattle Mariners starting pitchers James Paxton (illness) and Felix Hernandez (hamstring) will both rejoin the team and throw bullpen sessions on Friday before manager Scott Servais decides whether they'll start in the final week of the season. Paxton would like to get to two more starts to push his innings up to around 160 for the year. Both pitchers have been out since the first week of September, so they'll both be extra risky if they start next week, with King Felix being much more risky. [...]
James Paxton, Felix Hernandez Won't Pitch This Weekend rotoballer.com Wed 9/19/18 3:11 PM
Seattle Mariners starting pitchers James Paxton (illness) and Felix Hernandez (hamstring) aren't lined up to start this weekend against the Rangers. If either pitcher makes one final start this year, it'll have to come at some point in the final week. Neither would be very attractive options coming off layoffs, but Paxton has been Seattle's ace and would the preferred option. The left-hander has been dealing with the flu and pneumonia.
James Paxton Throwing Tuesday rotoballer.com Tue 9/18/18 6:50 PM
Updating a previous report, Seattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton (illness) is throwing in the bullpen before the game on Tuesday. It was previously reported that Paxton wouldn't throw until at least Wednesday, so this gives us hope that he can make at least one more start this year and possibly as soon as this weekend against Texas. The left-hander has been the team's ace this year, but he hasn't made a start since Sept. 7.
James Paxton Unlikely To Throw Until Wednesday rotoballer.com Tue 9/18/18 5:45 PM
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton (illness), who has been dealing with the flu and pneumonia, is unlikely to throw a bullpen session until Wednesday, which means he's still at least a few days from rejoining the rotation. There's still a chance that Paxton makes one more start before the end of the year, but it's looking less and less likely with each passing day.
