Beeks threw a scoreless third of an inning, striking out the lone batter faced, and earned a hold in Wednesday's 6-2 win over Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Beeks required the three-pitch minimum -- all four seamers -- to strike out Liam Hicks and strand a runner. It was the seventh scoreless outing out of eight for the left-hander, who has given Arizona good depth in the bullpen during his first season with the team. Beeks has allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out 10 over 10.2 innings.

Beeks agreed to a major-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander was cut loose by the Astros over the weekend after missing out on the Opening Day roster, but it didn't take long for him to find a new team. Beeks had a 4.50 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 55:27 K:BB in 70 innings between the Pirates and Rockies last season. He provides the Diamondbacks with some necessary depth with Kevin Ginkel (shoulder) and Jordan Montgomery (elbow) sidelined by injuries.

The Astros released Beeks on Saturday, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Beeks got a late start with the Astros, waiting until March 7 to sign with the club. However, he was still successful in the Grapefruit League, giving up one run and striking out three batters in four innings. He shouldn't have much trouble securing a minor-league deal with another organization.

Beeks signed a minor-league contract with the Astros on Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Beeks split time between the Rockies and Pirates last season, turning in a 4.50 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across 70 total innings. The 31-year-old lefty may need a bit of time to build up before he makes his spring debut, but he should still be in the mix for Houston's Opening Day bullpen.

Beeks earned the save in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Marlins, allowing one hit in one-third of an inning.
EDGE Analysis
After Aroldis Chapman pitched in Tuesday's contest, David Bednar was initially called upon to close out a 3-0 lead Wednesday. However, the Pirates would turn to Beeks with two outs in the ninth to face the left-handed Kyle Stowers after Bednar gave up a run on a pair of hits. Beeks would allow an infield hit to Stowers that loaded the bases before inducing a flyout from Xavier Edwards to close out a two-run victory. It's the 10th save of the year for the 31-year-old Beeks, his first since joining the Pirates from the Rockies at the trade deadline. Beeks has pitched well for Pittsburgh, posting a 2.30 ERA across 15.2 innings, though he's still likely behind Chapman, Bednar and Dennis Santana in the Pirates' bullpen hierarchy.

Beeks was traded to the Pirates in exchange for left-handed pitcher Luis Peralta on Monday night, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Beeks will head to Pittsburgh after compiling a 4.74 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 38 strikeouts over 49.1 innings in 45 appearances with the Rockies so far this season. The left-hander has made the full-time switch to being a relief pitcher in 2024, going 9-for-16 on save opportunities while also securing five holds with Colorado. Beeks will provide the Pirates with another late-inning option out of the bullpen for the stretch run.

Beeks allowed two runs on three hits over one inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Victor Vodnik gave up a solo home run to lead off the ninth inning, creating a save situation. Beeks entered the contest and had trouble getting things under control, but he ultimately had enough runway to work with. Over his last seven appearances, Beeks has given up nine runs (eight earned) with a 5:1 K:BB over 7.2 innings, converting three of his five save chances in that span. He's at nine saves, five holds and six blown saves this season while pitching to a 4.40 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 34:17 K:BB through 45 innings overall. With a weak bullpen and a bottom-five record in the majors, save chances are likely to be limited for Colorado, and the team's committee approach makes it tough to roster any of its high-leverage options.

Beeks earned the save in Friday's 4-2 win over the Royals, pitching an inning with one strikeout and allowing two hits.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw reliever entered in the ninth and looked to be in danger after he allowed two straight singles to lead off the frame. However, Beeks recovered by retiring the next three batters to work out of the jam, securing his 13th career save. The 30-year-old has collected the last two Colorado saves and produced four straight outings without allowing an earned run over 5.1 innings. He now sports a 4.09 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 34:17 K:BB across 44 innings this season.

Beeks picked up the save in a win over the Brewers on Thursday, hurling 1.1 scoreless innings while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
Beeks relieved Tyler Kinley with two outs and two on in the eighth and got Garrett Mitchell to go down on strikes to escape the jam. The lefty returned for the ninth and went 1-2-3 through the top of Milwaukee's lineup to secure his seventh save of the season and his first since May 31 against the Dodgers. Beeks has not allowed an earned run in any of his last three appearances while posting at least one strikeout in each of those outings.

Beeks (5-4) blew the save and picked up the win Sunday against the White Sox, allowing an unearned run on two hits and zero walks while striking out one batter in two innings of work.
EDGE Analysis
Beeks came on in the 13th inning and allowed the ghost runner to score on an RBI single by Luis Robert, resulting in a blown save. The 30-year-old rebounded in the 14th inning, however, retiring the side in order to earn his fifth win of the season. Although Beeks was used in a high-leverage role Sunday, Tyler Kinley pitched two scoreless innings in the 11th and 12th and remains the preferred late-inning option for the Rockies. Beeks will continue to be in the mix for saves, but he is just 6-for-11 in save opportunities this season.
