The Reds designated Fraley (knee) for assignment Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder hyperextended his right knee in Saturday's loss to the Brewers, but his 3-for-28 performance at the plate over his last 11 games likely has more to do with him being jettisoned from the 26-man active roster and 40-man roster. Fraley has been limited to 67 games this season due to shoulder and calf issues and has a .232/.332/.387 slash line in 193 plate appearances. He's making $3.125 million this season and will have his final year of arbitration eligibility in 2026, so it's unclear if he'll receive much interest on waivers.

Fraley suffered a hyperextended right knee during the 10th inning of Saturday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to Milwaukee, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fraley's knee buckled while attempting to field a base hit. He then landed awkwardly and could only throw the ball back to the infield while lying prone in left field. He was immediately replaced by Santiago Espinal. The Reds have not yet indicated the severity of the injury.

Fraley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The Reds have faced exclusively right-handed starting pitchers in their four-game series in Pittsburgh, but the left-handed-hitting Fraley has still found himself on the bench for three of those contests. Fraley appears to have moved into a part-time role while Noelvi Marte has become the primary option in right field after trade-deadline pickup Ke'Bryan Hayes displaced him at third base.

Fraley is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
It's right-hander Paul Skenes on the hill for the Pirates, but the left-handed-hitting Fraley will nonetheless begin the contest on the bench. Fraley looks to have fallen behind Noelvi Marte in the Reds' outfield hierarchy, as Marte is starting in right field Thursday for the sixth time across the last seven games.

Fraley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers are sending right-hander Shohei Ohtani to the hill Wednesday, but the left-handed-hitting Fraley will still hit the bench for the second time in the series. Noelvi Marte will get the start in right field for the series finale, and he could push Fraley for playing time moving forward after the Reds swung a deal Wednesday to acquire Ke'Bryan Hayes, who is expected to displace Marte as the team's everyday third baseman.

Fraley is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Fraley and Will Benson have split right-field duties over the last four contests. The Reds will go with Benson in right and will slot him eighth in the batting order after Fraley handled the position in the previous two games.

Fraley is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Fraley started the previous three games but will take a seat Friday even though Tampa Bay is starting a righty (Zack Littell). Will Benson is manning right field and batting eighth instead for Cincy.

Fraley is not in Sunday's starting lineup against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
For the second time in three days, Fraley is beginning on the bench against a left-handed starter (David Peterson). In Fraley's stead, Noelvi Marte is making his first career appearance in right field.

Fraley started in right field and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Fraley fueled a comeback from an early 2-0 deficit when he led off the third inning with a double and scored the Reds' first run. He later singled in the go-ahead run. This was Fraley's first start since coming off the injured list prior to the All-Star break, as Saturday was the first time Cincinnati faced a right-handed starter. He's expected to eventually undergo shoulder surgery to repair a partially torn labrum but will attempt to play through the injury the rest of the year. That may change if the Reds fall out of the hunt for the postseason, but they've won two consecutive games coming out of the break and are 1.5 games out of the final wild-card slot in the National League.

Fraley (shoulder) drew a walk as a pinch hitter in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Though the Reds faced a right-handed starter (Bradley Blalock) on Saturday, the left-handed-hitting Fraley wasn't included in the lineup in his first game back from the 10-day injured list. Instead of Fraley, the Reds went with another left-handed hitter in Will Benson in right field. The Reds face lefty Austin Gomber on Sunday, and manager Terry Francona could go with the right-handed-hitting Connor Joe in right field over Fraley and Benson.
