Cave (groin) will sit Saturday against Cleveland.

Cave left Friday's game against Cleveland with left groin tightness, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
LaMonte Wade replaced Cave and could be in line for a handful of starts if Cave misses time. It doesn't appear as though he's in line for a long absence, as he's considered day-to-day.

Cave left Friday's game against the Indians in the fifth inning with an apparent lower body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Cave hit a single but slowed up as he reached first base with what looked like a groin or hamstring injury. He walked off under his own power, so perhaps it won't be a serious injury. With Byron Buxton still not ready to hit, LaMonte Wade may get playing time in center field. Wade replaced Cave as a pinch runner.

Cave went 2-for-5 with two solo home runs Thursday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Cave went yard in the third and seventh innings to bring his season total to seven. With the Twins lineup thinned significantly by injury, Cave has seen a significant uptick in his playing time in August. He's taken advantage, mashing five home runs in his past six contests, driving in six and scoring seven runs in that span. So long as the combination of Max Kepler (knee), Marwin Gonzalez (abdomen), Miguel Sano (forearm) and Byron Buxton (shoulder) remain sidelined, he'll continue to see regular at-bats.

Cave is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll head to the bench after a productive seven-game run in the starting outfield, during which he went 11-for-23 with three home runs, four RBI and three additional runs. Eddie Rosario continues to tend to a sore hamstring, so Cave could end up retaining a solid amount of playing time heading into the upcoming week if Rosario is forced to the 10-day injured list.

Cave went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, two runs scored, two RBI and a walk in Saturday's win against Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Cave began the three-game series against the Tigers with two homers in 120 at-bats this season, but he now has three long balls in the last two days. The 26-year-old has come alive in the second half with a .431/.500/.784 slash line in 21 games.

Cave went 2-for-2 with a walk and two solo home runs in Friday's 9-6 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
His last big-league homer came July 13. Cave has been taking advantage of the playing time made available while Byron Buxton (shoulder) is on the injured list and Eddie Rosario deals with a minor hamstring tweak, slashing .478/.556/.826 over his last seven games, but with Rosario likely to rejoin the lineup very soon and Buxton about to embark on a rehab assignment, Cave's window for fantasy value is a small one.

Cave went 3-for-5 with a run scored Saturday in the Twins' 12-7 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Cave doesn't have a handle on an everyday role, but he's made the most of his part-time duty of late, turning in multi-hit performances in each of his last four starts. He'll start in right field and bat ninth in the series finale Sunday while Marwin Gonzalez shifts to the infield.
