New York Mets right-hander Jacob deGrom took down the New York Yankees on Monday. DeGrom threw 6 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits with 12 strikeouts. It was the second straight win for deGrom, who improved his record on the season to 7-7. The ace pitcher lowered his earned run average to a microscopic 1.81 and he remains firmly in the conversation for the National League Cy Young Award. DeGrom will take the mound next against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Jacob deGrom Finally Earns a Win on Wednesday rotoballer.com Wed 8/8/18 1:02 PM
New York Mets right-hander Jacob deGrom threw another gem on Wednesday and was finally rewarded for his efforts. DeGrom threw six shutout innings against the Cincinnati Reds, allowing just four hits while striking out 10. Despite lowering his earned run average to a microscopic 1.77, the ace earned just his sixth win of the season, and his record sits at a misleading 6-7. The righty is scheduled to draw another favorable start next week against the Baltimore Orioles.

Week 19 Waiver Wire - Second Base (2B) and Shortstop (SS) rotoballer.com Sun 8/5/18 3:30 AM
The injury bug bit hard and often this week, and while the majority of the major maladies affected other positions, middle infield wasn't spared. Popular waiver add (and featured player in this column last week) Lourdes Gurriel could miss the majority of the games left, and Ian Kinsler only made it a few games into his tenure with the Red Sox before suffering a hamstring strain.
Every Sunday until the end of the season, we'll look at the best middle infielders available in at least 50 percent[...]
Anibal Sanchez Outduels Jacob deGrom For Win rotoballer.com Fri 8/3/18 8:18 PM
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez drew a tough pitching matchup on Friday night - Mets ace Jacob deGrom. Fortunately for Sanchez, the New York hitters seem to be allergic to giving deGrom more than a run of support. The veteran righty muzzled the Mets for one run over six innings. Ironically, it was deGrom who drove in that run - he's got to do EVERYTHING there, apparently. Sanchez struck out nine and walked two. He'll likely face Washington next. Start him.
