Following a visit with team doctors, deGrom is scheduled for another bullpen session on Wednesday. Should that be successful, he remains on target to come off the IL and make his next start on Friday against the Milwaukee Brewers.

New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (elbow) was able to play catch on Saturday and is set for an MRI on Monday. It's a good sign that deGrom was able to play catch, so hopefully his elbow issue isn't too serious. He felt some pain in his elbow on Thursday and has been placed on the 10-day injured list. More updates will come after deGrom's MRI on Monday.
Jacob deGrom to Undergo MRI rotoballer.com Fri 4/19/19 5:40 PM
New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (elbow) will undergo an MRI on his elbow, according to manager Mickey Callaway. It's unclear at the moment how serious this problem is, so fantasy owners will just need to be patient. DeGrom has struggled in his last two starts, so maybe the elbow issue is why he wasn't pitching well. The Mets have not named a starter for Saturday, so stay tuned for updates.
Jacob deGrom Pushed Back With Illness rotoballer.com Wed 4/17/19 4:28 PM
New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom is dealing with strep throat and will have his next start pushed back from Friday to Saturday against the Cardinals. Jason Vargas will go on Friday. deGrom hasn't been himself in his last two starts, and maybe this has a little something to do with it. The 2018 National League Cy Young winner allowed nine runs and five home runs in his last nine innings over two starts, but he will look to bounce back against the Cardinals this weekend. deGrom might [...]

New York Mets right-hander Jacob deGrom was hit with the loss on Sunday night against the Atlanta Braves. The Mets ace went only five innings, allowing three runs on five hits to go along with nine strikeouts. It took deGrom 114 pitches to get through the five frames. The lone bright spot was the nine strikeouts, but deGrom was also touched up for two home runs in the process. He has failed to record quality starts in back-to-back outings but will look to rebound against the St. Louis Cardinals[...]
